The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Tet Trung Thu, is one of the most important holidays in Vietnam. The festival usually lasts for about 2-3 days and takes place on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month.
One of the most important events before Mid-Autumn Festival is the lion dance. The lion dance have a lot of color like: red , yellow,.. The lion dance often dances on the street or in the houses of the people. If accepted by the host, the "lion" will enter and start dancing as a wish of good luck. On the Mid-Autumn Festival, the children often invite each other to go out to watch the moon, process the lights, break the feast, they eat pies and cakes together.
