Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C or D on your answer sheet to  Space HolidayAre you thinking of going on holiday in space? Well, you may not be able to go to the Moon, but you could consider a space tour! This kind of "holiday" allows people to stay in space in a space station. Of course, it's very expensive and you'd have to be a millionaire to afford it. First of all, it costs 30 million dollars! Secondly, there's a pretty long waiting list - there are no free places for some years. Finally, you have to be very fit and healthy and do a lot of training to  prepare yourself before you can go on this kind of holiday. So, why do people want to travel in space? Well, the answer seems to be the excitement and  the fun of seeing Earth from above. Astronauts have described the view of Earth from space as absolutely breathtaking. Also, if you have enough money to go on this kind of holiday, imagine  the stories you'll be able to tell your friends.  If you're feeling a bit down about not being able to be a space tourist, there is some hope for you in the future. Some people are now looking into the idea of space hotels. Some Japanese designs look very exciting. If they are built, they will offer all the things you expect in a hotel. It will be interesting to see what they will be like.  For now, you will have to forget space holidays unless you are rich. I don't know about but I'm going to visit a nice beach and relax in the sun. May be if I stay late, I can imagine I'm on you, the Moon as well.  Question 22. Which of the following is a good title for this reading?A. Space Holiday: Is it possibly true B. The Reasons You Should Go on a Space Holiday C.Space Holiday: Ready for Everyone Now D. Space Holiday: the Moon Destination Question 23. Which of the following is NOT true, according to paragraph 2 A. A space holiday may cost you thirty million dollarsB. You cannot have a place on the holiday for some years.

C.You have to be in good health to go on this kind of holiday.

D. You don't need any training before a space holiday.

Question 24. The word "they" in paragraph 4 refers to ___

A.space hotels B. Japanese

C. space ships  D. space tours

Question 25. The word "breathtaking" in paragraph 3 is closest in meaning to

A. highly dangerous

B. really disappointing C. extremely beautiful D.extremely cpld

26. Which of the following is TRUE, according to the passage?

A. If you are rich, you can go on a space holiday tomorrow.

B. The writer will have a holiday nearer to home. C. Space hotel will definitely offer us holidays in the future.

D. Japanese scientists have successfully build some-space hotels

I have Learned, often the hard way, that there are a few simple rules about how to make life easier both before and after your journey. First of All, always check and double-check departure times. It is amazing how few people really do this carefully. Once i arrived at the airport a few minutes after ten. My secretary had got the ticket for me and i thought she said that the plane left at 10:50. I walked calmly to the departure desk, thinking I still had a little time to spare. I didn`t bother to take a good look at the ticket. The clerk at the desk told me politely but firmly that the departure time was 10:15 and that the flight was, according to international regulations, " now closed! ". I had to wait three hours for the next one and missed an importent meeting.

The second rule is to remember that even in this age of credit cards, it is still importent to have at least a little of the local currency with you when you arrive in a country. This can be absolutely essential if you are flying to a place few tourists normally visit. A few years ago, I took a business trip to Oklahoma. I flew there from London via Dallas, with very little time to change planes in between. I arrived there at midnight and the bank at the airport was closed. The only way to get to my hotel was by taxi and since I had no Dollars, i offered to pay in Pounds instead." Listen, Buddy! I only take Real money! " the driver said angrily. Luckily I was able to borrow a few dollars from a clerk at the hotel, but it was Embarrassing.

The third and last rule is to find out as much as you can about the weather at your destination before you leave, especially if you can take only a little baggage with you. I feel sorry for some of my colleagues who travel in heavy suits and raincoats in May, when it is still fairly cool in London or Manchester, to places like Athens, Rome or Madrid, where it is already beginning to get quite warm during a day. Few people understand just how importent it is to have the right sort of clothes with you in these days of rapid air travel.

I. Discuss these questions. Campare your answers.

1. Explain why the writer once arrived at the airport only a few minutes before the plane left.

2. Whose fault do you think it was? Thư writer's or his secretary's? Give reasons for your answer.

3. Explain why the writer think it is essential to have at least a little local currency when you arrive in a foreign country.

4. Describe some of the problems you could have if you ignore the advice in the last paragraph

Giup e với . Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C, or D to indicate the correct answer to each of the questions. Cell phones are an integrated part of our society at this point, and their main use is communication. They keep students in touch with the rest of the world by giving them the power to interact with it . In my day, if you forgot your lunch you were at the mercy of the office calling home for you. Now, students have the ability to solve their own problems and handle certain "emergencies" on their own. Cell phones also allow students the ability when the time is right, to keep in touch with students at other schools or friends that don't go to school. While not an educational benefit directly, better relationships can lead to higher self-esteem and reduce isolation, which is good for everybody. In the same way, camera phones allow students to capture the kinds of memories that help build a solid school culture, and, in some cases, can act as documentation of misbehavior in the same way that store cameras provide evidence and deter bad behavior. Academically, the cell phone can act as to record video of a procedure of explanation that may need to be reviewed later. It could be used to record audio of a lecture, as well, for later review. And just imagine if class could be easily " taped " for students who are absent? What if they could even be streamed and seen from home instantly? The iPod is a little trickier, because its function varies greatly by model. At its heart , it is a media player, and I know for a fact that many students work better while listening to music. For this reason, they can have a good effect by keeping students from getting too distracted while working ( ironic , because we mostly think of them AS distractions!). If it is a WIFI compatible model, and wireless internet is available, the iPod can be a great tool for looking up information or digging into things more deeply. Depending on the model, it may be able to act as a camera and video recorder as well (with the same benefits as the cell phone). Devices like the Kindle could, conceivably, make learning a lot easier. Imagine carrying all your textbooks in the palm of your hand, rather than strapped to your back! Though expensive, compared to buying new textbooks, the Kindle is a bargain. Many of the books used in high school English classes are actually FREE on the Kindle. 11. Imagine this scenario. You are watching a TV show and you hear a cool song in the background. You want to buy it but there is one problem. You don't know the name of the song. SoundHound is an app that will make this problem a thing of the past. It enables users to quickly identify songs by launching the app and holding their phone in the air. The app takes the song playing and compares it to thousands of other songs until it finds a match. Within seconds, it can tell you the name, artist, and album of the song you just heard.
Another spectacular app is Lookout. Hopefully, you won’t have to use it often, but when you do
need it. Lookout can be a lifesaver. Its main function is to help you find your phone if it goes missing. Lookout does this by using your smartphone’s data connection to locate your lost device. To see where your phone is on a map, simply log into Lookout from any web browser. In the worst-case situation, if someone steals your phone and you fear it has gone for good, you can wipe out all of its data with a few clicks. This will ensure no one will see any private information on your phone.
These helpful apps are just the tip of the iceberg. If you do some searching online, you are certain to find many other apps that will make your life more convenient.
