Miss Grace is our teacher of English this term. She has been teaching in our school for three years ever since her return from London, but I have never attended her classes before.
She is rather tall for a lady, about twenty-three years old, and I find her really slender. She puts on a little make up in very discreet manner. Though young and attractive in appearance, she is dignified and reserved. She is some what strict at times, but never too severe or stern. Her patience is wonderful she will never give up explaining until every one of us understands.
Her method of teaching differs somewhat from that of our former teacher. She pays much attention in correcting our pronunciation and drills us in expressing ourselves in short English sentences. At the end of each lesson, she gives us assignments and lets us work out ourselves. Her method means more work for us to do in the evening, as we have to consult the dictionary again and again; but this Giúp us to remember the new words and phrases and we feel that we have been making rapid progress.

Next, we joined in the playground section to play many different interesting games. My sister, my father and I decided to went inside the haunted house while my mother stood outside. I screamed as loud as I could, and I ended up having a sore throat. Later we got on the roller coaster, the racing cars and rode the fake bulls. Most of the time my mother just stood outside and kept our belongings, but sometimes she also joined some easy games as well. We left the park in the evening, and it was such a great day to create memories with my family.

I have attended many competitions in different phases of my life and have won some prizes from those competitions as well. One such contest that I would like to talk about was the Cycling competition that I participated in my college. I was then a student of the college and around 15 years old. One day I noticed an advertisement in our local newspaper that an inter-college cycling competition would be held on next week. The entry fee would be 20.000 VND and the prizes would be given to the first three cyclers. I had a passion for cycling and that’s why I thought to participate it. On the day of the contest, I went to the starting point and registered my name in the competition. I took my bicycle and wore my cycling dresse. I noticed there were around 30 competitors and I was asked to stand at my start point. With the sound of the whistle, I start cycling. I had almost no intention of winning prized but I simply did concentrate on cycling. The total distance was around 1 kilometers. After I finished the racing, I was really surprised to hear that I won the third prize. Some of my classmates were shouting because I was one of the three prize winners. I felt really happy and proud that I did well in this competition. Actually, I never took my cycling habit seriously but I did well in that competition. So after that I started practicing and participating in other cycling competitions as well.
I have so many friends, but my best friend is Lan. Her birthday is october 22. we used to be classmates in the secondary shool. she iss a pretty girl, she is tallish with long black hair and clear black eyes. Her face is roung looks very sprightly. We have been friends because we nearly have the same personality and qualities. she likes go shopping, traveling, playing game and animals.
