2 . Compound Sentence - Câu ghép
Một câu phức gồm 2 hoặc 3 mệnh đề. Đó chính là những câu đơn giản được nối với nhau .
Trong cấu trúc câu này , các mệnh đề được nối với nhau bằng liên từ Conjuntions:

N = nor
B = but
O = or
Y = yet
S = so
Từ " fanboys " cũng là một cách viết để bạn có thể nhớ các conjuntions một cách dễ dàng, đây là các liên từ khác nhau để tạo nên câu ghép. Các bạn có thể nhận ra rằng các liên từ phổ biến là and, but, or, so.

4 . Compound –Complex Sentence
Câu Compound-complex này cũng giống như các complex sentence nhưng nó gồm 1 câu đơn giản hoặc ghép đi trước hoặc sau 1 câu phức tạp complex sentence.
Ví dụ:
I ate a lot when I got home, but I was still hungry.
Phần được gạch chân chính là câu phức tạp complex sentence. Như bạn thấy nó cũng câu trên chứa 1 câu đơn giản nối với 1 câu phức tạp. Cũng có thể là 1 câu compound sentence nối với complex sentence.

3 . Complex Sentence Câu Phức
Câu phức là câu khó hơn câu ghép( đó là có thể lý do tại sao chúng được gọi là ' phức tạp ') .
