In recent years, the problem of environmental pollution has become a serious problem in big cities in our country. So, what are reasons and possible measures for this problem?
Nowadays, we are living in a city with high population density, so domestic waste is the first reason. Then many people’s social
consciousness is not high. In several areas, they throw rubbish on streets, canals and rivers. It is easy for us to see rubbish of all kinds floating on the water. Moreover, uncultured people even “ ke w er” in the public place.
Now, let’s come to other reasons. Our city is overloaded with vehicles that expel a lot of smoke and dust. This contributes to the heat of the air, and causes pollution.
Besides that, in several places, trees have been cut down to have room for buildings, hotels, or supermarkets. This makes the atmosphere in our city muggy and stuffy.
In addition, many plants and factories send out waste into canals or poisonous gas into the air.
Last but not least, the drainage system in our city is very old and downgrade, so it is always flooded whenever it rains.
Thus, how can we solve this problem? Let’s talk about it.
My dear friend,
I am great here on a vacation in Halong Bay, Viet Nam. The beach is extraordinarily charming with white sand and clear water. The weather is not too hot and full of sunlight.
The people here are extremely friendly and hospitable. I have met my aunt and she has guided me to a lot of interesting places. I have also tried a dozen of thrilling games in the amusement park.
I have bought some local specialities and will come back with a surprising gift for you.
See you this weekend!

Tham khảo: I came to Hanoi on an autumn day, and my first feeling was the feeling of a peaceful space, not like in Ho Chi Minh City. That feeling was overwhelming all my soul when I was walking along Nguyen Du Street and enjoying the Milk flower. Why was it so beautiful here? In the early winter night, in slightly cold spread hoarfrost, sitting on the bank of Thien Quang Lake, whether at the other side, I still smelt its perfume. I walked along the street and dropped myself in a sweet smell of Milk flower, the wind blew my hair, and I felt so great.
Milk flower on the streets of Hanoi goes deeply inside the memories of Hanoi people and all visistors who have come to Hanoi. It also goes into the music, the poetry, movies. Those are some good ways to introduce Milk flower to everybody. For me, means of communication such as internet or TV are the best ways to introduce Milk flower for all over the world. It is simple when everyone looks at all wonderful pictures or images of Milk flower, they will want to come and enjoy it. In Japan, they have cherry blossom, in Netherlands, they have tulip…How can we know about it? That is all thanks to means of communication. We must let them know that in Hanoi, we have Milk flower. Therefore, the things we need to do now are we should have a website about Milk Flower with pictures, clips, songs, poetry in many languages (if we can)… or we can hold more activities which relate to Milk flower. We must have some more activities to advertise this kind of flower. That was what I think when I saw Milk flower for the first time.
I love Hanoi. I love the early cold winter nights with Milk flower’s smell. I hope Milk flowers will be grown more on Hanoi streets. Milk flower is a precious gift that nature gives to us, especially to Hanoi, our beloved capital.

Seoul is the capital of Korea, the largest city in Korea, and its population is one of the largest in all over the world. More than half of the Korean population is concentrated here, and it makes Seoul a cultural and political center of Korea. When anyone mentions Korea, a lot people immediately think of the K-pop music market and the internationally popular artists. If you are a big fan of K-pop, some big entertainment companies are unmissable places to visit. By stopping by there, we can see and buy idol-related products; and if we are lucky enough, we can meet and get their autographs when they come by the company. After meeting famous people, we can visit the palace or the historical museum of Korea. Besides sightseeing, eating is also important thing that we should do in Seoul. Seoul is home to almost every traditional Korean food such as kimchi, sticky rice cakes, rice wine, soju etc. It is nothing more interesting than eating steak with a bowl of hot boiling kimchi soup, and enjoying some glasses of soju in Korea's cold weather. Besides, Seoul is also a city of sport since it hosted the Asian Games 1986, the 1988 Summer Olympics, and this was also one of the host cities of the 2002 World Cup. There are a lot of special things about Seoul that have not been mentioned yet, but it is still enough to see that Seoul is a lovely and worth-living city.

I’ve always wanted to see the Earth from space so my dream house would orbit the Earth. It would be filled with a bunch of high-tech stuff that I could play around with and, of course, a button to turn off zero gravity because I don’t think sleeping while floating would be comfortable. I would also like there to be a teleporter that would allow me to go anywhere on Earth. How else would I get back to Earth to see my friends and family? Flying by rocket each time would be too wasteful.

I don’t really get to spend much time watching TV programs mainly because I remain busy with other priorities in life. But, sometimes, I do enjoy watching different kind of comedy shows and documentaries because they make me “think” differently. Today, I would like to talk about one such comedy show which made a great impression on me.
I watched the program about a couple of years ago in the absence of my family who were out on a visit to see a “terminally” ill relative of them. Coincidently, the comedy show was also about an “elderly” ill person, with “limited” mobility, who wanted to find his “love” for the last time before dying.
But the problem was, of course, no woman was willing to put up with the old man because he had a very “tight fist”. In other words, he was a very “stingy” man with no intention whatsoever to spend any money on others, even if it meant spending on his “wife”! In fact, he was so “stingy” that he even liked to “sleep” on his money sometimes due to his fear of getting them stolen by others. Anyway, finally, one elderly lady became kind enough to marry him on one condition. And the condition was, the old guy would need to stop sleeping with his money. The guy happily agreed. But, after the marriage, the guy still kept sleeping with his money. The wife saw it and angrily reminded about his “promise”. The guy very calmly answered that “he was not sleeping with his money any more, rather the money was sleeping with him!” Needless to say, that was the moment when I simply burst out in laughter!
I really liked the comedy show mainly because it did highlight on a very natural human instinct which “pushes” people to go to any length, even if it is “lying” or “cheating”, in order to find “love” regardless of age or sex. It also made me realize the fact once again that even though sometimes “money” is what helps us “buy” love, it pushes us away too.

Football is the most popular sport in my country, there are a million fans and supporters here like it. They like both watching and playing it. Because it is an affordable type of sport just only you need a ball. It is a game of skill, where ball control is far more important than physical conditioning, even children play it in the street every day. Also, here adore with the world cup matches. The second sport here is handball. The Egyptian handball team is more successful than the football one. We made it to the Olympics more than any other sport and achieved higher worldwide rankings than any other sport.
I used to play handball when I was a child. Nowadays I play it, with my friend when we have free time. It’s always a bit of a rush and I never get a chance to really enjoy it properly, so I wish I had more time for that.

The Mekong Delta (Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long), nicknamed the ‘Rice Bowl of Vietnam,’ is a lush network of waterways in Vietnam known for its excellent nutrient-rich soils and diverse ecosystems – the banks are a veritable patchwork of fruit, vegetables, rice plantations and cattle farms that provide sustenance for more than a third of the country.
This impressive stretch of river frontage is the most biodiverse in the world if you don’t count the Amazon. Taking up much of the south of Vietnam, the Mekong Delta is an extraordinary place filled with lily pad waterways, rice paddies, mangroves, and enchanting wildlife.
While you can reach the Delta by plane, bus, or bike, a boat trip down the tranquil tributaries and mangroves of the Mekong is unforgettable. Paddled by a local in a wooden canoe, you’ll be able to witness everyday life on the river, passing farmlands, fruit orchards, monkey bridges, water buffalo, and floating markets. The best time to visit the Mekong is during the dry season between December and May when there’s less chance of flooding

Playing badminton is really my cup of tea in leisure time, because it improves my health, helps me be more and more confident, and is entertaining. First and foremost, by playing badminton about two hours a day, I feel full of beans for the entire day. For instance, I can finish my homework and housework efficiently; hence my mother always encourages me to play it everyday. The second point is that playing badminton brings me out of my self. I can make friends with many people. After competitive matches, we often chat with one another about hobbies or plans in future. Last but not least, playing badminton is entertaining. It helps me relax after working hours, and relieve stress.. All in all, I consider playing badminton as my favourite pastime for it brings both physical and mental benefits.
Tell about the places you visited recently
I have visited many places near a river or a sea and I enjoyed the scenic beauty and vast water very much. I would like to talk about a river I visited 2 years back. I chose to talk about it because I really enjoyed my visit there.
The name of the river was (...say a river's name...) and it was in (...say a place's name...). One of our relatives invited us to visit their house and we decide to visit there. I went there with 4 of my family members including my parents. After we reach there, I was amazed to notice that our relative's house was near a big river. This was the first time I visited that relatives and I was very excited about the beauty of the nature there.
After we reach our relative's house, my younger sister told me that she would like to visit the river. I restrained her by saying that we will all go there in the evening. In the evening we went near the river and the river was very clam at that moment. A sweet wind was blowing from the river and the weather was very pleasant. We sat near the river and had our tea. That was kind of family picnic. I had my younger brother, sister, my parents and 3 of our relatives at this place. Since this was the summer season, we felt very comfortable being at the bank of the river. We noticed many boats were in the river and we planned to rent a boat for an hour. When we were in the boat, the wind suddenly started blowing heavily. We quickly came to the high land and left for our relative's house.
My favorite sport is badminton. There are some reasons why I like it. First, I can improve my health by playing it. It makes me feel energetic everyday. Furthermore, I enjoy the feeling of the badminton flying in the air. During the game, I can change the direction of badminton with little effort and beat my opponents. Besides that, I can make many friends when I play badminton. I often play it with various types of people. We can improve our skills through discussion and practice. Also, we can talk about many interesting things when we have a break. Finally, playing badminton is not as intense as other sports such as basketball or soccer. It lessens the possibility of being hurt. To sum up, playing badminton benefits a person not only physically but mentally as well. I usually play at least once or twice a week.

The flower race on the river in my hometown is held in the first spring of the year. Today, the sky is clear. Hundreds of flowers race each other to bloom under the warm sun. People went to see the festival in large numbers. The two sides of Tra Giang River are bustling. Everyone is looking forward to the race. The racing boats are beautifully decorated, so are the flags. The operators on the boat were strong, muscular and agile guys. When hearing the whistle-blowing effect of the organizers, everyone turned their eyes forward. When receiving the "start" command, the Ao Dai rushes quickly, the riders are quick, non-stop. Water splashed, drums urged “Tung! Tung! Tung "resounds. The audience cheered with applause. Laughter, voices calling each other make the festival scene very lively.

Halloween is a holiday celebrated on October 31st. The most common colors of the day are orange and black. Halloween comes from the ancient Celtic festival Samhain. The ancient Celts believed that on October 31st, now known as Halloween, the boundary between the living and the deceased is not clear, and the dead become dangerous for the living by causing problems such as sickness or damaged crops. On Halloween, the ancient Celts would place a skeleton by their window to represent the dead. Believing that the head was the most powerful part of the body, containing the spirit and knowledge, the Celts used the "head" of the vegetable to decorate their houses. On this day people often wear strange clothes as characters in horrible novels or movies to frighten others. People usually like to dress as ghosts, skeletons, or witches. Now Halloween is an official holiday in almost all European countries.
