Rural life is a pipe dream for many city people today. To what extend do you agree or disagree wit the above statement.

For many people, living in a city bores to them. So they tend to desire to inhabit in a secluded area with fresh air and picturesque views.

Firstly, the reasons for who don’t want to live in such a polluted city are a lot. The number of workload is so much. They might work overtime to make their livings or every morning the congestion of the traffic also make them feel tired. Especially, the criminal situation has gone up considerably.

Secondly, living in a countryside also has its own disadvantages. For instance, sometime, the electricity supply might fail. If you were bited a snake whose poison is very dangerous just only treated by some hospitals in cities, you might died after few minutes. It’s likely that the worst thing about the countryside is the educational conditions. In here, well-qualified teachers might not as more as ones in the city. The modern facilities tend to be non-existent.

In conclusion, neither living in the city nor the countryside is better than the other. The enjoyment depends on people and their favorites. We can’t put in comparison with them.

one hundred years ago, there was no equality between men and women because people then considered women to be weaker sex. This prejudice against women(1) had its origin in the dawn of mankind’s(2) thoughts when men lived in caves and went(3)hunting for food. The task of food gathering and hunting needed great (4)strength of body. Therefore the best place for women was not in the forest, but at home where they could satisfactorily do their jobs, namely feeding their children, and looking after them(5)Things have changed much since those early days. In the modern life of twentieth century, more brains are(6)needed, not more strength of muscle. As a consequence, women play an(7)increasingly important role in the modern society. They have proved repeatedly that they are equal and often superior to men in(8)almost every field

While radio broadcasting was still in its infancy the marvel of television was already being developed. The first step towards its invention was taken in 1873 but the person responsible for developing it was John Logie Baird. In 1926 he gave the first demonstration of a television picture. As a home entertainment, television rapidly became more popular than any other form. A news broad cast b ecame more immediate when people could actually see the scene in question and the movements of the figures. Films could be viewed in the comfort of the home and variety shows were also available. One of the advantages of travel progarmmes was the glimpse of far – away places which many viewers would not o therwise have seen. Though much of the entertainment was of a popular kind like quiz competitions, some remarkable cultural programmes were also broadcast. Just as with radio in earlier days, the publicit y given to actors and actresses on the screen meant that a group of personalities became familiar in every household. One o f the most popular programmes was the televised coverage of sports and an interesting result of the television b roadcast was the increased attendance at the actual events. How far this was due to a growth in interest in the game and how far out of the spectators’ desire to appear on the screen is not clear
