How many planets are there in our galaxy? That’s a tricky question to answer. Are there other planets that support life? That’s exactly what the Kepler mission hopes to discover.
NASA launched the Kepler space telescope, designed to find habitable planets, in 2009. So far it has discovered five new Earth-sized planets beyond our solar System. These planets are hotter than the Earth -much too hot for life as we know it. The Kepler team predict that they will need at least three years to find an Earth-like planet. The simplest requirement for a planet to have life is for there to be liquid water so the distance from the planet’s sun and therefore temperature are important. There also needs to be the correct amount of air. If a planet is as small as Mars (half the size of Earth) its weak gravity means that it can’t hold on to air molecules. If a planet is Neptune sized (four times bigger than Earth) it has very strong gravity and too much air. So size
matters too. The cost of the mission is approximately six hundred million dollars. It is scheduled to observe until 2013 but this could be extended. Will we be sad if we discover we are alone in our galaxy or happy if we find that we share it with other life forms?

Otherwise Pluto will become too far from Earth and it will be more difficult to get near the planet. The New Horizons mission is important because no spacecraft has ever been sent that far before. The information collected during this mission will help to explain what the outer edges of the solar system look like and how the solar system was formed 4.5 billion years ago. * NASA: National Aeronautics and Space Administration * the Solar System: the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, IJranus, Neptune, Pluto

There are certainly many advantages to living in the country. First of all, you can enjoy peace and quiet. Moreover, people tend to be friendlier and more open. A further advantage is that there is less traffic, so it is safer for young children.
However, there are certain drawbacks to life outside the city. Firstly , because there are fewer people, you are likely to have fewer friends. In addition, entertainment is difficult to find, particularly in the evening. Furthermore, the fact that there are fewer shops and services means that it is harder to find work. As a result , you may have to travel a long way to work, which can be extremely expensive.
In conclusion, it can be seen that the country is more suitable for some people than others. On the whole , it is often the best place for those who are retired or who have young children. In contrast , young, single people who have a career are better provided for in the city.

Humans have much in common with to other live forms on Earth. Since the very a first live form appeard, all living things have been desperately struggling to survive the harsh and changing conditions of our planet. This has involved adapting to new situations and in many cases has led to either evolution or the extinction. We are not alone in making use of the world around us (birds use twings to build up nests, for another example) or in being particularly skillful (spiders make intricate webs). Where we do differ from other life forms; however, it is in our ability to record and learn from our collective history. In this, it appears that we are unique. There is still too much mankind does not know about the earliest humans, of course not, but we are increasingly becoming a species with detailed knowledge that about our past. The more we learn from, the betterare our chances of survival in the future. It must also me recognized; however, that we are also the only species on Earth in which has managed to createthe mean of destroy the planet we live on.
