Virgin Galactic chuẩn bị tiết lộ Máy bay tên lửa du lịch vũ trụ mới

Virgin Galactic sẽ tung ra một phiên bản mới của tên lửa du lịch không gian SpaceShipTwo của nó vào Thứ Sáu khi nó chuẩn bị để trở về thử nghiệm chuyến bay lần đầu tiên kể từ khi một vụ tai nạn năm 2014. 

SpaceShipTwo được thiết kế để bay bởi một trong hai phi hành đoàn và đưa sáu hành khách đến rìa không gian. Ở độ cao trên 62 dặm, hành khách sẽ trải nghiệm một vài phút không trọng lượng và xem trái đất bên dưới.

Sau nhiều năm phát triển, Virgin Galactic dường như đang đến gần mục tiêu làm cho dân thường thành phi hành gia. SpaceShipTwo đầu tiên đã vỡ ra thành từng mảnh vào ngày 31 tháng mười năm 2014. 

Cuộc điều tra cho thấy phi công phụ Michael Alsbury đã mở khoá cái gọi là hệ thống phủ đầy lông nhằm mục đích làm chậm lại và ổn định con tàu khi nó vào lại khí quyển. Alsbury đã bị chết, nhưng phi công Peter Siebold, mặc dù bị thương nặng, đã nhảy dù an toàn.
