Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

The Songkran festival is the Thai New Year's festival. The Thai New Year's Day is 13 April every year, but the holiday period includes 14–15 April as well. The term was borrowed from Makar Sankranti, the name of a Hindu harvest festival celebrated in India in January to mark the arrival of spring. It coincides with the rising of Aries on the astrological chart, the New Year of many calendars of South and Southeast Asia. The festive occasion is in keeping with the Buddhist/Hindu solar calendar.

The Cheese rolling festival is one of the "crazy" festivals in the world and makes anyone can not forget to attend. The festival dates back to the 15th century and takes place annually at Cooper Hill (England) on the occasion of the Spring Bank Holiday (the last Monday in May). The form of the festival is a variation from the ritual of letting things float down from the top of the hill like burning bushes, candy to welcome the New Year and the good fresh spring crop. The gameplay is very simple. A Gloucester cheese (a hard cheese shaped like a wheel, weighing 3-4 kg) is wrapped in a wooden shell, decorated with giant round ribbons rolled down the hillside slope, the player chases. Follow the piece of cheese will be the winner. It seems easy to eat, but do you know the speed of cheese pieces can reach 112km / h? So to win, you'll have to run along with many others from a very steep hill to pick it up. According to the rules of this event, there are about 20 participants.

Lễ hội lăn phomat (Cheese rolling festival) là một trong những lễ hội “điên khùng” nhất thế giới và khiến bất kì ai tham dự cũng không thể quên. Lễ hội có từ thế kỉ 15 và diễn ra thường niên ở đồi Cooper (Anh) vào dịp Bank Holiday mùa xuân (thứ hai cuối cùng của tháng 5). Hình thức lễ hội là biến tấu từ nghi thức thả cho các vật lăn xuống từ đỉnh đồi như bụi cây đang cháy, bánh kẹo để chào đón năm mới và cầu cho mùa màng tốt tươi từ xa xưa. Cách thức chơi rất đơn giản. Một tảng phô mai Gloucester (một loại phô mai cứng có hình dạng như bánh xe, nặng khoảng 3-4 kg) được bọc trong vỏ gỗ, trang trí bằng ruy băng tròn khổng lồ được thả lăn xuống chân đồi dốc, người chơi đuổi theo được miếng phô mai sẽ là người thắng cuộc. Tưởng chừng như dễ ăn, nhưng bạn có biết vận tốc của miếng phô mai có thể đạt đến 112km/h không? Vì thế để giành chiến thắng, bạn sẽ phải chạy thục mạng cùng với nhiều người khác từ trên một ngọn đồi rất dốc để nhặt được nó. Theo quy định của sự kiện này, có khoảng 20 người tham gia.

Lunar New Year festival, also known as Tet, is the biggest traditional festival in my country, Viet Nam. Tet is usually from the end of January to early February. Before Tet, Vietnamese people prepare many things, we always want everything to be perfect for the new year. In particularly, we clean the house and decorate it with flowers and trees such as kumquat tree, peach blossom,… In addition, a huge amount of food will be bought before Tet for making traditional dishes like Banh Chung, Banh Tet, Gio cha,… During Tet, we visit our relatives and give them wishes. Traditionally, elders will give lucky money to children and the oldest people in the family. However, nowadays, we can give it to anyone including friends, parents, neighbors. Besides, Vietnamese usually go to pagodas or temples to pray for health, wealth, success. All in all, Tet is all about going back to origins, being good to others, enjoying the precious moment, and wishing for the best to come.

Trận chung kết bóng đá lượt về giữa Việt Nam và Malaysia tại sân Mỹ Đình của thủ đô Hà Nội là trận đấu rất hấp dẫn. Cả gia đình em ngay từ sớm đã cố gắng hoàn thành công việc để dành thời gian cổ vũ cho đội tuyển. Mặc dù chỉ xem qua tivi nhưng ai nấy đều hào hứng, chuẩn bị áo cờ để cổ vũ cho đội tuyển nước nhà. Mấy chú hàng xóm cũng tụ tập lại ở nhà em để cùng nhau cổ vũ nên rất đông vui. Sau khi hát Quốc ca, đúng 20 giờ, trận đấu bắt đầu sau tiếng còi khai cuộc của trọng tài. Những phút đầu tiên hai đội đều tập trung cao độ, ai cũng hồi hộp dõi theo trận đấu. Phút thứ 6, "Vào….”, tiếng chú bình luận viên hét vang, mọi người vỡ òa sung sướng với sự xuất sắc của chú Anh Đức đã giúp Việt Nam dẫn trước 1-0.
Tiếp tục cuộc đấu vẫn diễn ra trong thế trận ngang bằng, cân sức cân tài, đội tuyển Malaysia thi đấu mạnh mẽ quyết tâm gỡ hoà nhưng rất khó khăn trước hàng phòng ngự chắc chắn của đội tuyển Việt Nam. Hiệp một kết thúc với bàn thắng dẫn trước của ta. Nghỉ 15 phút giải lao, trận đấu diễn ra hiệp hai, đối thủ tiếp tục phản công với những pha bóng xuất sắc nhưng không cản phá được thủ thành chắc chắn - người hùng Văn Lâm. Trên khán đài, khán giả hò reo nô nức theo từng đường bóng của các cầu thủ, cờ đỏ sao vàng tung bay phấp phới.
Trận đấu dần đến hồi kết và chiến thắng chung cuộc thuộc về Việt Nam với tỉ số 3-2, chức vô địch gọi tên nước nhà. Mọi người trong xóm ai nấy đều vui mừng phấn khởi trước thành tích của đội tuyển. Trong xóm, mấy anh chị thành niên rủ nhau ra đường chúc mừng Việt Nam trong không khí đầy hứng khởi. Trận đấu đã để lại trong lòng em nhiều ấn tượng đẹp, đặc biệt em rất thích chú Duy Mạnh, chú ấy không chỉ đẹp trai mà còn chơi bóng rất hay và bình tĩnh. Nếu có dịp em sẽ xin chữ kí của chú làm kỉ

All of the special holidays in my country, I like Tet the most. Tet is an occasion to everyone get together in warm atmosphere. Before Tet holiday, Everyone prepares many things and decorates their house. I plant a lot of flowers in front of my house and buy many things such as clothes, foods ...
Besides, most of the streets also are decorated beautifully with colorful lights and flowers. During Tet, I spends more time on visiting my relatives, friends and colleagues. Especially, I give to each other the best wishes for the new year. Tet is an opportunity for children receive lucky money. There is a funny thing that people try to avoid argument or saying any bad things at Tet. I love Tet holiday!
