Schools in Singapore are well-known for the great education they give to students of all ages. Children from three to six years old go to pre-school where they play and learn to speak. They also learn to be creative and have fun. From the age of seven to twelve years old, children go to a primary school. Here they learn basic math skills, and also English. Students also begin to read and write in their home language. After six years of primary school, all students take a national exam, and then they go to secondary school. Students in secondary school have three choices. They can go to a normal secondary school; they can go to a specialised school, where they learn special skills; or they can go to an express school. After secondary school, students have a lot of choices. They can go to college, university, or art schools. This can take up to three years to finish.
