HƯỚNG DẪN:
1. Đề thi gồm 5 trang. Thí sinh kiểm tra số trang trước khi làm bài.
2. Thời gian làm bài 90 phút: 10 phút đầu dành cho phần thi Nghe, 80 phút cuối dành cho các phần Đọc, Từ vựng – Ngữ pháp và Viết.
3. Bài thi Nghe (10 phút) gồm có 2 phần, mỗi phần lặp lại 3 lần. Giám thị bật mỗi phần nghe 3 lần. Cho thí sinh thời gian đọc thông tin trước mỗi bài nghe 1 phút.
4. Thí sinh làm bài trực tiếp vào đề thi. Đọc kỹ yêu cầu trước khi làm bài (ghi câu trả lời vào phần Your answers của các phần và chỗ trống cho sẵn ( trong phần Viết lại câu và phần thi kỹ năng Viết).
5. Thí sinh giữ gìn bài làm cẩn thận.
6. Nếu thí sinh làm sai, dùng thước gạch, không dùng bút tẩy màu trắng. Thí sinh
chỉ được dùng bút một màu xanh hoặc đen để làm bài. Không dùng mực màu đỏ.
7. Thí sinh không được sử dụng bất cứ tài liệu nào kể cả từ điển.
8. Giám thị không giải thích gì thêm.

Why are dictionaries important?
Can you use a dictionary? Some pupils don't want to use one, but I don't agree. I think dictionaries can help us to learn about our language and other languages.
First of all, when you read a book, you can find out the meanings of new words in a dictionary. You'll be able to use these words in your writing and it'll be a lot more interesting. You can spell words correctly,too. It's nice when your homework isn't full of spelling mistakes!

Năm nay, em đã là học sinh lớp 6 nhưng những kỉ niệm hồi còn thơ ấu em không bao giờ quên. Trong những kỉ niệm ấy có chuyện rèn luyện chữ viết hồi em học lớp 3. Em trở thành học sinh giỏi Văn cũng là nhờ một phần vào những ngày rèn luyện gian khổ ấy.
Trong các môn học, em sợ nhất môn chính tả vì chữ em rất xấu. Mỗi khi đến giờ chép chính tả theo lời cô đọc, em thấy khổ sở vô cùng. Chưa bao giờ em đạt điểm cao môn này. Nhiều buổi tối, em giở tập, lặng nhìn những điểm kém và lời phê nghiêm khắc của cô giáo rồi buồn và khóc. Mẹ thường xuyên theo dõi việc học tập của em. Biết chuyện, mẹ không rày la trách mắng mà ân cần khuyên nhủ:
- Con lớn rồi, phải cố tập viết sao cho đẹp. Ông bà mình bảo nét chữ là nết người đấy con ạ!
Em ngẫm nghĩ và thấy lời khuyên của mẹ rất đúng. Vì thế em quyết tâm tập viết hằng ngày, đến bao giờ chữ em trở nên sạch đẹp mới thôi.
Em tự đề ra cho mình kế hoạch mỗi ngày dành ra một tiếng đồng hồ tập chép. Trước hết, em chép lại những bài tập đọc trong sách giáo khoa. Sau đó, tập chép những bài thơ ngắn. Mẹ dạy em cách cầm bút sao cho thoải mái để viết lâu không bị mỏi tay. Em học theo và đã quen dần với cách cầm bút ấy. Mỗi bài, em viết nhiều lần ra giấy nháp, khi nào tự thấy đã tương đối sạch đẹp thì mới chép vào vở. Xong xuôi em nhờ mẹ chấm điểm. Những bài đầu, mẹ chỉ cho điểm 5, điểm 6 vì em viết còn sai Chính tả và nét chữ chưa đều. Em không nản chí, càng cố gắng hơn.
Đến bài thứ chín, thứ mười, em đã có nhiều tiến bộ. Những dòng chữ đều đặn, ngay hàng thẳng lối hiện dần ra dưới ngòi bút của em. Mẹ không ngừng động viên làm cho em tăng thêm quyết tâm phấn đấu.
Lần đầu tiên được cô giáo cho điểm mười chính tả, em vô cùng sung sướng. Cô giáo khen em trước lớp và khuyên các bạn hãy coi em là gương tốt để học tập.
Em luôn nhớ lời mẹ và thầm cảm ơn mẹ. Em cầm quyển vở có điểm 10 đỏ tươi về khoe với mẹ. Mẹ xoa đầu em nói:
- Thế là con đã chiến thắng được bản thân. Con đã trở thành người học sinh có ý chí và nghị lực trong học tập. Mẹ tự hào về con. Ba con biết tin này chắc là vui lắm!
Từ đó, cái biệt danh Tuấn gà bới mà các bạn tinh nghịch trong lớp đặt cho em không còn nữa. Tuy vậy, em vẫn kiên trì tập viết để nét chữ ngày một đẹp hơn. Sau Tết, em sẽ tham gia hội thi Vở sạch chữ đẹp do trường tổ chức.
Đúng là có chí thì nên, có công mài sắt có ngày nên kim, phải không các bạn?
