Tet is one of the most important festivals in my country. It's a big holiday that celebrates the arrival of spring in Viet Nam every year. It usually lasts about seven days. There are lots of popular customs of Vietnamese people on Tet holiday. For example, they often visit their relatives, friends anh temples. Some people visit the graves of their ancestors in their homeland. Before Tet holiday begins, people decorate their house carefully to have a wonderful time with their family. Furthermore, special Tet food such as Chung cake, steamed sticky rice and boiled chicken can play an important role in Vietnam. Perhaps, Tet is the time when members of family can gather to chat or have meals together. In conclusion, Tet is the essential part in Vietnam.

Dear Dean,
How are you? Thank you for your wonderful gift. I think you got an enjoyable summer holiday. And I would like to tell you about my last summer holiday.
I spent my summer holiday with my family in Da Nang for 3 days. That was really great days for me. On the first day, we had a trip to Ba Na Hills. The atmosphere was very fresh, it made me feel good. We visited many places such as Fantasy Park, Debay Cellar, French Village, etc.
On the second day, we went to visit My Son Sanctuary and go swimming in the afternoon. Da Nang beach is very pure and the scene is really beautiful. So I took many nice pictures.
And on the last day, we just walked around the town, enjoy some delicious dishes of Da Nang such as bun Quang, banh trang thit heo, etc and bought some souvenirs. I have a great gift for you. I will send your gift and the beautiful pictures that I took for you.
I really had a great time with my family. Da Nang is a wonderful place and people in here are friendly. I think this is a place I shall never forget. So how is your summer vacation? Write to me and tell me about it.

I am having a wonderful time in Ho Chi Minh City, a big city in Viet Nam. The people are hospitable and helpful.The weather have been warm and sunny.
In HCM, I visited some of my friends, ... and ... . It was very nice to see them. We visited The History Museum and Ben Thanh Market. Then, we had lunch together at a famous restaurant.
I bought a lot of souvenirs for you and other friends.

As for me, I also spent a wonderful vacation. First, I lived with my parents in the garden. The weather was hot and I swam a lot with my friends. We played soccer and rode bicycles.
And in August we went to Cyprus with my parents. It is a large island in the Mediterranean with a wonderful climate. We swam in the sea and were lying in the shade of huge eucalyptus trees. We traveled along the mountain paths and playedtennis. Anyway, it was a memorable summer.

I am glad and excited as I knew that you want to visit some Asian countries in your upcoming holiday period. I humbly request you and your family to visit my country Nepal.
As you probably know, Nepal is small landlocked yet naturally beautiful country which is abode of the highest peak in the Earth, Mt. Everest, including other seven highest mountains. As spring season has just started, it is best time to capture glimpse of its natural amenities. I am telling you, you should not forget to visit Patan Durbar Square, which makes you spellbound at its historic and artistic hand made sculpture, statue and temples. Moreover, capital city Kathmandu is best known as City of Temples in the world with many famous world heritage sites such as Pashupatinath and Swoyambhunath. Last but not the least, in any attempt you should enjoy Sauraha Jungle Safari with exciting and memorable Elephant Polo.
Climate nowadays is ostensibly fairly good so if possible try to bring loose garments. But if you wish to go for trekking and climb mountains bring thick wind proof warm clothes with high rise sole shoes. Furthermore, if you are sick of high altitudes and low pressure bring doctor prescribed medicines as well. A big map of Nepal will be helpful for guiding you without rambling.

My best friend is Lan. We have known each other since we were 10 years old. However we became best friends when we were at grade 7. At that time I was very bad at English and it was who helped me improve my English. Now she lives with her parents in Nguyen Trai street.
If I were to describe how she looks I would say she is very pretty. She has long black hair a straight nose and a small pointed chin. She is quite slim. She doesn t like to dress up so I usually see her wearing jeans and a T - shirt. She has a very nice personality and a wonderful sense of humour but she can also get a little depressed from time to time. I can always count on her to be honest and to give me the best advice.
What I like about Lan is that she has same hobbies with me. We both enjoy singing karaoke reading comic books and going shopping. We like going to the cinema but sometimes can t agree on which movie to see. In addition since I am better in Maths and Chemistry and she is better in English and languages we can always help each other if we get confused about a difficult homework assignment. We are so lucky that we get along so well. I hope that our friendship can last long.

How is everything? It has been a long time since I wrote to you.Now, I am writing this to tell you about my faforite fastival.That is Tet. I believe this for following reasons .First of all, as you know, Tet is festival which occurs in late January or early February. Second of all, it is a time for families to clean and decorate their homes. This means that I can enjoy special food such as sticky rice cakes . Last but not least. Family members who live apart try to be together at Tet .

I hope you are doing well. What are you up to these days? It has been quite a long time since we met and as you know, the next weekend is quite long, I have planned a small trip to Munnar in Kerala.
As you know that I love making tour plans, I have an idea in mind and would be excited to share it with you. Since you are a nature lover, I’m pretty sure that you would also be excited the same way that I am to visit God’s own country.
Once we have checked in by July 1, I have planned a trek on the first day to the Anamudi peak which has the highest and the most alluring viewpoint. We can then chill at night in our hotel and by the next day start visiting the aroma-filled tea plantations. After that, we could visit the famous Mettupetty dam to try out the water sports just like in our old times.
