Theo ý kiến riêng của mình,hai từ này có nghĩa giống nhau, khác biệt một chút ở chỗ là see a movie có nghĩa / ám chỉ là đi tới rạp chiếu phim xem trực tiếp ở đó. Còn watch a movie có nghĩa là xem ở nhà, trên TV hoặc mạng.
Chú ý: Muốn sử dụng cụm này để nói đến việc đi xem ở rạp thì thường nó sẽ đi chung với một động từ khác là "go" như: "We will go watch that movie/We will go and watch that movie".
