Tet is the most important occasion of Vietnam, together with Lunar New Year's culture of East Asian countries. Before Tet, there are other days to prepare, such as "Tet" (23rd lunar month) and "Sunday" (29th or 30th lunar month).

Because of the Lunar New Year, Vietnamese Tet Lunar New Year (also known as Tet Lunar New Year). Due to the three-year rule of the lunar month of the lunar calendar, the first day of the year of the Lunar New Year is never before 21 January and after 19 February the lunar calendar usually falls between late January and mid-February. Calendar. The annual Lunar New Year usually lasts about 7 to 8 days at the end of the last year and 7 days at the beginning of the new year (23 December to the end of 7 January).

Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked, offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

Traditional Tet is one of the most important festivals of Vietnam. Just in Western countries that follow Christianity, Christmas is a sacred and important holiday, so is the traditional New Year's Day. Traditional New Year's Day is called Lunar New Year or Lunar New Year, and is considered the most important moment of a year. The time starts on the 1st day of the 1st lunar month of the new year. The Lunar New Year usually falls between the end of January and the middle of February of a calendar year. Normally in Vietnam, every occasion to prepare for the Lunar New Year, everyone, whether working or going to school, has a holiday schedule. Normally, the time off is from one working week or more (for employees) and two to three days before December 30. To prepare for the important Tet holiday of this year, every family often buys a lot of new things, cleans the house, prepares a tray of rice to worship ancestors. And yet, on the traditional New Year's Day, there is also a custom to visit the elderly, family members, friends and neighbors every time Tet comes. At that time, homeowners or adults will give lucky money to children and elders with wishes at the beginning of the new year of peace, prosperity, and everything as desired. This is not only a custom but also a cultural beauty of the Vietnamese people, to show concern and hope for a full and peaceful life for everyone .

Vietnam is a country famous for frequent appearance of festivals annually. Among these celebrations, Tet holiday is considered to be the biggest and the most important in one year.
Tet holiday, also known as Lunar New Year festival is an occasion expected by all Vietnamese citizens all over the world. It takes place about in the late January or the early February, depends on Lunar Calendar each year.
Tet holiday began to take place thousands years ago and has continued to be preserved until nowadays. Therefore, it has become an indispensable part of Vietnamese tradition. To some extents, it is especially meaningful to those who live in another country. this is a special occasion for them to reunite and fully understand the significance of family and hometown. 
There are many activities held on this festival. Perhaps the most important activity is that all people living far from home come back to gather for reunion. This is the greatest meaning of this holiday. Many people look forward to joining in the Tet market where a large selection of goods are sold. The atmosphere is really noisy, the streets are overcrowded and the surroundings is colorful. In addition, all the houses are cleaned and decorated with various plants such as kumquat trees, peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, and so on...together with twinkle flashlights. Tet is also an occasion to show our gratitude towards beloved ancestors. The altar is rearranged with pictures, fruit tray and incenses. On the last day of the old years, every member gather to paripate in the reunion party and say goodbye to the old year together. Everyone hope that he could get rid of unwanted things and strives more in the new year. On the first day, everyone comes to others' home to happy new year. On this day, no one sweeps because they believe that everything inside the house are fortune. Children are given tiny red envelopes from the older. Chung cake, a kind of traditional food with sky rice, green beans and meet seems to be the most popular dishes. People also go to temple or church to pray for the best things coming to themselves and relatives as well. Recently there has been some suggestions on removing Tet holiday. However, these suggestions has come in for a lot of criism. Tet has become a mental dishes for all Vietnamese.
In conclusion, tet is sacred and meaningful occasion in heart and mind, therefore everyone should hold hands to preserve this traditional beauty of Vietnam.

Có rất nhiều hoạt động trong dịp Tết. Có lẽ quan trọng nhất là việc mọi người xa nhỏ trờ lại tụ họp. đây chính là ý nghĩa lớn nhất của dịp tết. Có nhiều người trông mong được tham gia vào hội chợ Tết, nới mà có rất nhiều hàng hóa được bán ra. Không khí thực sự náo nhiệt, đường rất đông và xung quanh thì sặc sỡ sắc màu. Thêm vào nữa, tất cả ngôi nhà đều được dọn sạch sẽ và trang trí với những loại cây đặc trưng như cây quất, cây đào, cây mai,...cùng với những bóng đèn nhấp nháy.

Tết cũng là dịp để thể hiện sự biết ơn với tổ tiên. Bàn thờ được sắp xếp lại với tranh, mâm quả và nhang. Vào ngày cuối cùng của năm cũ, mọi người tụ họp lại để tham gia vào bữa tiệc đoàn viên và cùng nhau nói lời tạm biệt với năm cũ. Mọi người hi vọng có thể bỏ đi những điều không mong muốn trong năm cũ và phấn đấu hơn trong năm mới. Vào ngày đầu tiên của năm mới, mọi người đều tới nhà người khác để chúc mừng năm mới. Vào ngày này không ai quét nhà vì họ tin mọi thứ trong nhà đều là lộc. trẻ con được phát những bao lì xì màu đỏ đựng những đồng tiền may mắn từ người già. Bánh Chưng, một loại món ăn truyền thống với gạo dẻo, đậu xanh và thịt lợn có vẻ là món ăn phổ biến nhất trong những ngày này. Mọi người cũng đến đền hay nhà thờ để cầu nguyện những điều tốt đẹp nhất đến với bản thân và người thân. Gần đây có những đề xuất nên bỏ dịp lễ Tết. Tuy nhiên những đề xuất này vấp phải rất nhiều chỉ trích từ dư luận. Tết đã trở thành món ăn tinh thần cho người Việt.

Kết lại, Tết là dịp rất có ý nghĩa trong tim và suy nghĩ của mọi người, vì thế chúng ta hãy chung tay bảo tồn nét đẹp truyền thống này của Việt Nam.

Tet, also known as Lunar new year festival, is the biggest traditional festival in Viet Nam. Tet is usually from the end of January to early February. Before Tet, Vietnamese prepare many things for the three main days. They clean their house and decorate with flowers such as kumquat tree or peach blossom. A huge amount of food will be bought before Tet for making traditional dishes. Banh Chung, Banh Tet, Gio cha, Xoi and Mut, and candies are the foods that must have on Tet holidays. During Tet, people visit their relatives’ homes and give wishes. However, the Vietnamese believe that the first visitor a family receives in the year determines their fortune for the entire year, people never enter any house on the first day without being invited first. Another custom is giving lucky money, which is put into a red envelope as a symbol of luck and wish for a new age. Traditionally, elders will give lucky money to children and the oldest people in the family. However, nowadays, people can give it to anyone including friends, parents, neighbors. Besides, Vietnamese usually go to pagodas or temples to pray for health, wealth, success. To Vietnamese, Tet is the happiest time of all year around, members in a family can gather together, which is a meaningful messages of Lunar New year festival. All in all, Tet is all about back to origins, be good to others, enjoy the precious moment, and wish for the best to come.

In Vietnam , New Year called is Tet.Vietnamese have New Year is very special.Tet is usually start the end of January or in February.In Tet, Vietnamese usually go to Tet Market and buy some peach blossoms, kimquat trees,apricot blossoms and many flowers.Can called Tet is busiest time in the year but we have a smile, a time is happy , family gathering, right?Ok , what do you do in Tet ? I'm usually  cook banh chung, go to shopping with my family, go to Tet Market, buy flowers,trees,new clothes , sweets and pie. Ah, I make cu kieu ,sticky rice , jam and i have banh tet by my grandmother, clean the house , decorate the house.This is work we must do before Tet.And How about in during Tet?Oh, I go to visit relatives, got to pagoda and make a wish and I get lucky money, eat special food...

Tet is grandest and mót important occasion in the year in vietnam. Last tet holiday I have 11 day-off from 19th to 20th january. And I think I shall never forget that holyday. The first day-off I spent all time to relax after along year.
Then I cleaned up my room and helped my mother decorating our house with peach blosson, kumquat tree and other flower. Tet is indispenable Chung cake and last year I leart make it. On New year's Eva my family got together to watch firework talk about old year and hope have a happy new year. Next I went to pagodo to pray for a happy new year for me and my family. Tet is coming. Tell me about what you will do for Tet hoiliday. In the country, I often occurs in late January or early February. Before Tet, people often clen the house and decorate their house. They go shopping by food, drinks and new clothes. Before Tet, about 1 or 2 days, people make banh chung and boil them a big pot. They always special meal with delicous food. They also have family gatherings during Tet. At Tet, They often visit relatives and friends and give than best wishes. The children like getting lucky money. They cuoid fighting or breaking things to get food luck round a year. I think Tet is most only interesting but also wonderful. I wish today were Tet hoiliday.

 Tet is a traditional holiday of our country Vietnam.
The season of Tet occurs around the biginning of February and end of Janaurỵ The meaning of Tet is ending old year and welcome a new year. Tet holiday is very special for Vietnamese families to reunite. At that time, all family members try to come back their homes and get together to prepare for Tet. Moreover they will buy new clothes and clean their house. A branch of Mai flower or a Kumquat tree can't be absent from every home. They bring a fresh atmosphere to the house. We decorate ancestral altar with a tray full of fruits and flowers.
Some typical Tet's food such as sweets, coconut jam, candied fruits, lemon seeds, rice cake , "thit kho"( stew pork with eggs). A special food can not absent is sticky rice cake.. It is our country's traditional food on Tet holiday. Tet meal is more dilicious than our every day.
On Tet holiday, people have many typical activities. Young persons takes part in the traditional games such as: tug; cooking rice, cock fighting, watching lion dance. Many people visit relatives to wish a happy new year. A dults will give lucky money for children. Woman like going to pagoda to wish good things will come to their familỵ

TET in Vietnam was the big celebration for the country. In those days every village, the house, everyone off work and fun way to reunite. Tet there is a divinity and the opportunity to refresh everything. The day he finished the regular crops, the villagers made heaven and earth Thanksgiving. SPRING people share the joy of warm, giving each other gifts to wish one another a new year and everything is the custom and many other means.
Vietnamese people celebrate Tet with TET is a sacred trust on reunification, a new day, that day is a day of thanksgiving and hope.
Days of Being Together - SPRING is always on reunification of families. No matter who trade, work or attend school in the remote, they often try to save money and time to celebrate with the family. That's a wish that all people, as well as people who go far in the festival are expected to meet and hang out with family.
SPRING is also the day to reunite with those who were lost. Dinner the night from 30, before midnight, Buddhist families were invited to burn incense to the deceased grandparents and their ancestors who died of fun to eat with the children SPRING grandchildren.

All of the special holidays in my country, I Tet the most. Tet is an occasion to everyone get together in warm atmosphere. Before Tet holiday, Everyone prepares many things and decorates their house. I plant a lot of flowers in front of my house and buy many things such as clothes, foods ...

Besides, most of the streets also are decorated beautifully with colorful lights and flowers. During Tet, I spends more time on visiting my relatives, friends and colleagues. Especially, I give to each other the best wishes for the new year. Tet is an opportunity for children receive lucky money. There is a funny thing that people try to avoid argument or saying any bad things at Tet. I love Tet holiday!

Vietnam is famous for its several holiday and festival, especially Tet holiday. It takes place from the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar until at least the third day. Although occurring in short period of time, it is believed to be the most important and popular holiday in Vietnam. There are many special food are made so as to prepare for Tet meal such as: sky square cake, Vietnamese sausage, sky rice and jam. The food is thought to reflect Vietnam’s habit and custom as well as Vietnamese’s lifestyle. Besides, the meal has other dishes fish, vegetable to show the hope for a successful and prosperous new year. In term of customs, children’s receiving red envelop from the elder, visiting relative’s houses and going to church are popular activities. Giving lucky money is thought to bring children hope and health. Church is the symbol of peace; therefore, individual go there and pray for successive year. Traditionally, the house is designed with peach flower in the North and Ochna integerrima in the south part of Vietnam. Besides, the house as well as town are clear, decorative and beautiful as all are ready to start a new year. People have cozy atmosphere and enjoy joyful time with their family’s members. It’s high time for people living at different parts of country gathering and spending time together. Tet is a chance for one to come back home after many stress and pressure of studying and working environment. Tet is not simply a holiday, it is culture and habit of Vietnamese since its deep meaning is sacred and important. All in all, Tet includes not only joy but also long-standing event in people’s soul as it helps one grow up through experience.
