All long days in a small village that was great memories I had. My family and our neighbor lived happily together , my parents spend many time to take care of us ( I and my sister), for my grandmother, we are apple of her life. The house that my family lived is always fulled of laughter. At that time, I thought I had the wide world in my hand when anybody around me felt unhappy. When I had a young brother, my parents were the busier than before and my sister was also study the more and more, without my grandmother, may be I used to lonely.

Someone will think that: my grandmother is a gentle person, but the fact is not. She is not only cheerfull, sociable, friendly but aslo snappy and decisive. “Do as I say, not as I do” or “a honey tongue, a heart of gall “ is look her personality, because she always talks to everybody by the loud voice and shouting, it make the different person feel that: they are ordered and feel uncomfortable. Sometimes, she forces me do all what is she talk, if I do not it, she will sulk. However, I know: She want to do the best thing for everbody. Example: every morning when I get ready for school, she check that: where is my hat and raincoat? I was accustomed to being cared of, being reminded, but I hope: everybody also understand this- my grandmother is good person. Day by day, I become a person that had a careful style of work and could be free from any life pressure.

I have not gone home in a long time so I had to go to school, had to work in my company ( part-time job) . Yesterday, I called my dad, he said: ” I am taking your grandmother to hospital. She has a eye operation, today”. I feel disappointed myself, I had known her eyes was becoming the bad and bad but I forgot this. Everytime we meet each other, she usally asks me what is look ? Thin or fat? white or black skin?…I did not know all of things is because of her wake eyes. She have never changed, she taked care of everybody by her own way but she did not know how is care of herself. Now, I am going to comeback home to meet her and my family, to review the childhood memories that I have forget one of the most important things with her.

My Grandparents

I was lucky enough to grow up in my grandparent’s house. Our family lived with my grandparents since I was little. As my paternal grandfather passed away when I was very young, I only remember a few memories of him. One thing I surely remember is he used to brush his teeth twice daily without fail. I adopted this habit and ever since I have been doing the same.

My maternal grandparents have been my true systems of support. I am lucky enough to have grown up around such inspirational people. My grandfather was a principal of a college, so he always emphasized the importance of education. He helped us with our homework when my parents were not available. I spent my vacations at their place as I enjoyed living with them.

Similarly, my grandparents always embraced me with open arms. They used to wait for every holiday for our arrival. My grandmother made delicious pickles and meals which we relished greatly. She taught me a few recipes too and tips and tricks that are very useful even today. I simply adore my grandparents for instilling good values in me and my parents and for giving us a safe space to grow up in.
