Nowadays, more and more people choose to live in the city. In this essay, I will discuss about the advantages and disadvantages of living in the city.
It can't be denied that living in the city has many benefits. First of all, if we live in the city, we will have many chances get the developing science and technology. It means that we will have more job opportunities and broaden our knowledge more easily. Secondly, we will have many different ways to spend our free time. There are a lot of theatres, concerts and other kinds of entertainment. There is always a lot to do and visit There are a lot of possibilities of shopping. In various shopping centres and galleries you can buy whatever you want. What is more, a big city is a potential market for trading activities, so we can earn more money to provide our family a comfortable life
Besides advantages, living in the city brings to us a lot of disadvantages. Firstly, a problem about which everyone is worrying is environment. The increase of factories based on industrialization and modernization has severely polluted environment. Smoke from factories' chimneys not only pollutes the air but also makes people get many serious cancers. Sewage is bumped into rivers without being purged, which threatens underwater ecosystems. The second drawback of living in the city is society's vices such as drug addiction. Young people. especially the students, are easily spoiled by bad habits. If people use up all the money, they can't control themselves and even become robbers or murders. Moreover, a problem that many people living in the city have is heartlessness. With some people, it's not worth being worried and it has no effect on our life, people are too busy to care for any others. But if more and more people become heartless, the society will be worse, no one cares another one, they live boring lives, every purposes became meaningless, without love, sympathy and many other good things.
There are good things as well as bad thing of living in the city. However, I strongly believed that advantages outweigh disadvantages. If people know how to live and enjoy their life, living in the city is one of the most interesting things that people want to experience.

5. To protect the environment, in my opinion, I should start with the small things that are closest to us. For example saving electricity: turn off the TV when not watching; Or do not forget to turn off the lights when going out, replacing more energy-efficient devices. Saving water: reusing water as vegetable wash instead of discarding it, you can water the plants in the garden; When washing dishes, wash in a basin, do not wash directly under running water for too long. Along with saving is keeping general hygiene. This is very important. To keep clean is to dispose of garbage in the right place; not cutting flowers to break branches destroying nature; not graffiti on the wall; When you see garbage falling on the street, you will pick it up and put it in the trash; is to plant some more trees in front of the house, etc. These everyday tasks are small, but they also play a part in protecting the environment. And if you alone do it, we will not be able to see the change in the environment for the better. But it takes the cooperation of many people to become a giant to protect the environment.

As you know, cycling is the greenest form of transportation out there. It is quiet and it is, above all, cheap. You do not need to buy expensive equipment or clothing. Teacher’s day is celebrated every year on the birth anniversary of a great person Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. He was highly dedicated towards the teaching profession. It is said that, once he was approached by some students and requested for celebrating his birthday on 5th of September. And he replied that instead of celebrating it my birthday only, you should celebrated it as a teachers day to pay honour to all teachers for their great works and contributions. Teachers are the real shapers of the future building blocks of the country means they shape up the students life who are ultimately the future of country.
Teachers are the nation-builders by building the future of citizens living in the country. But nobody was there in the society to think about teachers and their contributions. The whole credit goes to only one leader of India, President Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan who advised us to celebrate his birthday as teacher’s day. Since 1962, 5th of September is being observed as Teacher’s Day every year. Our teachers not only teach us about subjects, but they also improve our personality, confidence and skill level. They make us able to get over from any problem or difficulty all through the life.
As you know, everybody has a hometown. So do I. I live in a small village in the countryside. It is peaceful and clean. I love my village very much because of the following reasons. Firstly, people in my neighborhood are friendly and helpful. They are willing to help each other. Secondly, the air is clean. Most of families use biogas. Therefore, smoke isn't dumped into the air. Finally, there is little traffic in the area, so there has never been traffic jam and little traffic noise here. It is very safe for children to across the road. In short, my hometown is a wonderful place for everyone to live. I'm sure that I'll never leave it to move to anywhere else.
Mid-Autumn Festival is under the full moon day of the lunar calendar every year in August, over 4,000 years ago. This is the day children’s festival, also known as the “Festival looks Moon”. Children are expected Tet is because adults are often donated toys, usually light. His star, mask, light pull troops … and pies, cakes plastic. In this new year, we organized presentation deck, looks moon. Everywhere is fallen in the active and colorful air. Children are provided with many nice lanterns – star lanterns, flower lanterns and diverse funny masks for special performance in the evening of the full moon. In some areas, people also held dragon dance, lion dance to the children happy. The main point of the Mid-Autumn is that children use the beautiful lanterns, wear funny masks, perform fantastic lion dances and sing folklore songs in the house’s grounds or on the streets when the moon is rising.
In Vietnam, Moon cakes are the specific cakes and are only on this festival. Moon cakes, which are made from flavor, dried fruit, meat, egg, pumpkin’s seed, peanut, are so sweet and good tasting. Moon cakes symbolize Luck, Happiness, Health and Wealth on the Mid-Autumn day.
Mid-Autumn celebration is also an opportunity for members of the family to get together and share everything in their year. The young generation express their gratitude to the old generation. The parents show their love for their children. For others, because the traditional time to have this festival is usually after harvesting the crops, it is as the congratulation for the full harvest.
Apart from moon cakes and lanterns, the other most visible tradition related to Mid-Autumn festival is the lion dance. On the nights leading up to the holiday, groups of children parade through the streets – some of the children maintain a martial beat on drums, while others control an extravagantly decorated ‘lion’ crafted from molds and paper.
The children approach homes and businesses and ask the owners for their permission to perform. If they agree, the children put on a show that is believed to bring a blessing of luck and fortune. Afterwards the host gives the children lucky money as a sign of gratitude.
In Viet Nam , the Mid- Autumn Festival, also referred as Tet Trung Thu, is one of the two most celebrated festivals to current date. The Mid-Autumn Festival dates back over 15,000 years ago, and is traditionally held on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. A Vietnamese folklore indicates that the festival came about as a way for parents to make up lost time, showing love and appreciation to their children after the harvest season. Appropriately, the Mid-Autumn Festival is also called the Children's Festival. Trung-Thu activities are often centred around children so that they can participate in a candlelit lantern procession at dawn. Lanterns represent brightness while the procession symbolizes success in school. Vietnamese markets sell a variety of lanterns, but the most popular children's lantern is the star lantern. Other children's activities include arts and crafts in which children make face masks and lanterns. Children also perform traditional Vietnamese dances and participate in contests for prizes and scholarships. Unicorn dancers are also very popular in Trung-Thu festivities. In addition, Vietnamese parents tell their children fairy tales and serve mooncakes and other special treats under the silvery moon. I like the festival very much because it is an opportunity for me to gather with my family and friends to enjoy the moonlight and many special refreshments.

Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival. Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general. It is a holiday celebrated primarily in Canada and the United States. While perhaps religious in origin, Thanksgiving is now primarily identified as a secular holiday.
The date and location of the first Thanksgiving celebration is a topic of modest contention. The traditional "first Thanksgiving" is the celebration that occurred at the site of Plymouth Plantation, in 1621. The Plymouth celebration occurred early in the history of what would become one of the original thirteen colonies that became the United States. The celebration became an important part of the American myth by the 1800s. This Thanksgiving, modeled after celebrations that were commonplace in contemporary Europe, is generally regarded as America's first. Elementary school teacher Robyn Gioia has argued that the earliest attested "thanksgiving" celebration in what is now the United States was on September 8, 1565 in what is now Saint Augustine, Florida. Today, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Thanksgiving dinner is held on this day, usually as a gathering of family members and friends.
