=> She enquired where the nearest tube was.
2. Where is the station car-park?, Mrs. Smith asked.

=> Mrs. Smith wanted to know where the station car-park was.

3. Why didn't I get a computer before?, thought the officer manager.
=> The officer manager wondered why he hadn't got a computer before.
4. Where has he been?, she doesn't know that.
=> She doesn't know where he had been.
5. "Why didn't you take the job?" asked my friend.
=> My friend asked me why I hadn't taken the job.
6. Have you finished reading the book, Mike? Alice asked.
=> Alice asked Mike if he had finished reading the book.
7. Why don't you ask her yourself?, I said to my brother.
=> I asked my brother why he didn't ask her himself.
8. How long has it been since you left this city, Bob?, asked Mary.
=> Mary wanted to know how long it had been since Bob left that city.
9. Can I have a new bicycle?, said Anna to her mother.
=> Anna asked her mother if she could have a new bicycle.
10. Do you want to insure your luggage or not?, said the travel agent.
=> The travel agent asked me if i wanted to insure my luggage or not.
11. How old is your little boy?, said the nurse to Mrs. Bingley.
=> The nurse asked Mrs.Bingley how old her little boy was.
