Experiencing the history and general development of the world and Asian countries, moral standards as well as the concept of beauty in general and the beauty of women in particular also changes from time to time, each generation. The standard of women today has a bit of change to adapt more with practice, more in line with the development of society as well as the trend of integration with the whole world, with the pace of modernization. However, the
development and standards of Vietnamese women are always associated with the old substance, which is evident in the inheritance: faithful, generous, guaranteed, speechless. In ancient times, the part of women in feudal society was a topic chosen by many poets and writers. Through those That work, the woman shows up with beautiful images, along with the beautiful personality, but fate always depends on others. The binding of feudal society, the cruelty of the forces makes their lives full of thorns and waves. Social style
The most unjust and unjustly biased is the woman and society that people always become slaves of money, which makes women hard,
frequency of going to the market early in the day raising her husband and taking care of her children. Although there is suffering, they consider it a joy, a happiness, not a burden heavy. But we see, no matter how difficult the woman is, they always shine up noble personality, sacrifice, love, optimism, faith in fresh light of life. Although the self-contained woman is so, weak before binding

Corporate companies, even leaders in organizations in the government apparatus. In short, no matter what time, women always play an important role in life and work. Besides preserving products Traditional substance from thousands of ancient times, women today must always strive to become a good citizen, dream, living with ambition, living social and community responsibility. These are very basic elements, the original elements of Vietnamese women.

My friend Sam’s birthday was last Saturday. He was twelve. We had a party for him, but we didn’t tell him we were going to have the party. On Saturday morning, Sam’s parents took him to breakfast at a restaurant. His cousin William has a key to his house, so we all went to the house to get ready.

First, everyone put the presents that they brought for Sam on the table in the dining room. Then, we move all the sofas and chairs in the living room so we       would have enough space to dance. We wrote “Happy birthday, Sam!” on a piece of paper and we colored it gold. We put the paper on the wall. One of Sam’s friends brought some games for everyone to play and we put them in the living room too.

Next , we needed to make a cake for Sam. The kitchen was very hot when the cooker was on, so we opened the window. The cake smelled good and we wanted  Sam to come home so we could eat it. We also made a pizza for lunch and some of Sam’s friends brought milk and juice to drink.

Soon we heard a car outside the house. We turned off the lights and hid behind the sofas and chairs. But when Sam came in, he laughed. “I know you’re here”, he said. We all jumped up. “Why aren’t you surprised?” we asked. “Because the window is open and I could smell the cake from outside” he told us. “Thanks, everyone. Let’s eat!”

Question 17-20: Read and choose the correct answer

THE STORY OF SADAKO SASAKI AND THE THOUSAND PAPER CRANES
Sadako Sasaki was two years old when the atomic bomb devastated Hiroshima on August 6th 1945. The blast threw
her out of the window and although she survived, she and her mother were caught in the nuclear fallout. Her
grandmother went back to the house to get something and was never seen again.
Years went by and Sadako led to a normal childhood up until November 1954, when aged 11, she was diagnosed
with leukemia and told that she only had a year to live. Leukemia was highly prevalent at that time along with
several other cancers, and it became evident that this was largely due to the effects of the bombing nine years before
In the hospital, Sadako’s roommate told her of an old Japanese legend, which says that of you fold 1000 paper
cranes, you will be granted one wish from the gods.
Some versions of the story say that Sadako made 644 origami cranes before dying peacefully in her sleep, and her
friends made the remaining 356 in her honor. However, an exhibit at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum said
she had achieved her goal in August 1955 and continued to fold more cranes right up until her death.
Either way, Sadako Sasaki’s condition sadly continued to deteriorate and she died on October 25th 1995 at the age of
12. She was buried with all 1000 paper cranes.
Following Sadako’s death, her friends and schoolmates raised funds to build a memorial to her and all the other
children who had died as a result of the atomic bomb. Statues of Sadako holding cranes can be found in both
Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Seattle Peace Park, the former of which bears the following words: “This is our
cry. This is our prayer. Peace in the world”.
The story of Sadako Sasaki and the thousand paper cranes has become known internationally as a reminder of the
effects of war on the innocent. It is told in many schools on the anniversary of the effects of war on the innocent. It is
told in many schools on the anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing and people all over Japan celebrate August 6th as
an annual peace day.
Everyday, children bring origami cranes to Sadako’s statue in memory of her and all the other innocent children who
have died as a result of war. The crane has long been a symbol of hope and longevity, but in Sadako’s memory, it
has also become as a symbol of peace.

Strong Relationships Equal Health, Happiness

What will most help you lead a long happy and healthy life? Is it making lots of money? Is it a great job that you enjoy? Perhaps it’s fame. If you ask a young person, many are likely to give you one of those answers. Or possibly all three.

Some cultures put more importance on work and money than others. Americans can be obsessed with their jobs and making money. They might feel the need to make lots of money for education, medical care, homes and cars. But it’s not just about the money. For many Americans, self-worth is linked to our professional success or failure. Many of us spend most of our lives working – sacrificing other activities.

Imagine if we could visit our older selves and ask -- "What would you have done differently to be truly happy?" But we can’t do that. We could learn about what makes people happy, and what does not, by studying people over the course of their lives.
