On summer holiday, I often go back to my hometown and I have seen many changes in this rural area over the years.
The most impressive change is in education. Recently, there are more schools rebuilt nearby and they are all better equipped. This summer, my hometown friends and I enjoy reading different kinds of books and comics in the new library. This change makes my stay here a lot more enjoyable.
Means of communication is the second big change I can see in the area. In the past, the common way to contact somebody faraway was to write letters by hand. Nowadays, thanks to mobile phones and even social networks, the locals can keep in touch more easily.
However, the negative change in the environment is something I dislike. Vast paddy fields where the children used to fly kites no longer exist. Instead, a new industrial zone appears. Worse, factories in the zone are polluting the river and make it too dirty for us to swim in.

Describe a bedroom
Like a paradise, my room is the only place where I feel free, warm and comfotable for relaxing after a tiring day at school.
My room has simple design and everything looks neat and clear. It's a beautiful room because it is decorated by myself. I use bright color for the wall and blue ties to inspire an intimate feeling to the space. Besides, my room looks warm and airy with two huge windows on the two sides of the room , and some lamps on the walls . I like the computer in my room most because it helps me a lot for my study.
In my house I like my room most, I can do everything in it. I'm the owner of my own space so I always try to keep it clear and neat

Perilous pollutants may contain various types of impurities including harmful chemicals, dissolved gases, suspended matters, dissolved minerals, and even microbes. All the contaminants reduce the level of dissolved oxygen in the water and affecting the lives of animals and human beings to a great extent. Dissolved oxygen is the oxygen present in water required by the aquatic system to continue the lives of plants and animals. However biochemical oxygen is the demanded oxygen by the aerobic micro-organisms to oxidize organic matters of wastes. Water pollution is caused by two means, one is natural water pollution ( due to the leaching of rocks, decay of organic matters, decay of dead matters, silting, soil erosion, etc ) and another one is man-made water pollution ( due to the deforestation, set up of industries near large water bodies, high level emission of industrial wastes, domestic sewage, synthetic chemicals, radio-active wastes, fertilizers, insecticides, pesticides etc )

Hi Jimmy,
Teenagers in Viet Nam use the Internet for many things. In learning, the Internet helps us to find information for our presentation. We find a lot of interesting ideas and beautiful pictures to make our presentation more impressive. After school, the Internet gives us lots of games for entertainment. I myself like English interactive games on the Internet. In communication, the Internet helps us to keep in touch with friends and maintain our relationships. We love the Internet. What about in the US?
Please write and let me know.

Lunar New Year, or Tet, is considered the most important festival and holiday in Vietnam. All schools, companies, factories are temporarily closed. It is the occasion for family unions and gatherings when people return to their families. To prepare for this special day, most Vietnamese people prepare by cleaning and decorating their houses as well as cooking delicious foods. There are a lot of special Vietnamese customs during this time that you could learn. For example, the importance of the first person visiting the house on the new year, wishing greetings of New Year, ancestral worship, and giving lucky money to elderly people and children (aka “Li Xi” in Vietnamese language). During Tet, Vietnamese people will visit their relatives, go to pagodas and temples to pray for a better upcoming year.
One of my favourite festival it is Tet.This is an interesting holiday. It is held for us to worship our ancestors.Tet is held on the 1st to the 10th day of the 1st lunar month. Before Tet,we will have the preparing. It would take a week or two.The house will be repainted and will be decorated by decorations, kumpuat trees, apricot or peach blossoms. Then on the 29th of the 12th lunar month,we will watch Tao Quan on VTV Go.And when the time come,we 'll do the count down from 10 to 1 as the clock finally stroke 12.The sky will be shine beautyfully by the firework display. There are alot of great activities and I can't tell them all.By the way,Tet is coming soon.HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
To many Vietnamese, Tet holiday has to be one of the most important celebrations throughout the year that contains both important cultural and spiritual values. Tet usually takes place in late January and early February each year. The festival always fascinates people with tons of exciting activities such as cooking sticky rice, decorating houses, as well as participating in games that are held from places to places. Tet is also the time for family reunion, when people are off from work and can vist relatives, friends and colleagues frequently. Additionally, this is also the occasion for people to show gratitude to their ancestors as well as wish kids good fortune by giving them lucky money. To conclude, Tet is a really terrific holiday for the Vietnamese to relax, have fun and practice traditional customs as well.

I was born in a quiet village where the influence of the city is not much. It is a small village with a population of about two thousand people. It is a very good place for relaxation indeed.
In my village, people live very close to each another. The people are very simple in thought and behavior. Therefore they are friendly and helpful . So, the crimes of the city are almost unknown in my village. The people work together and live in peace. I love them.My village is surrounded by paddy-fields and a river. All these add great beauty and variety to my village scene. Although I do not like growing rice, but I really like the fields. It makes me have a good mood, a peace mood and a relaxed mood. Now I am living in Hanoi capital. I want to come back my hometown very much. Living among such friendly and simple people, in such a quiet village, is indeed a real pleasure.
Thanks
