Everybody has his own birthday which is considered to be the most important and meaningful day of the year. I just attended a birthday party two days ago. It was my best friend's birthday who turned nineteen that day. It was only a simple party outside with about 10 people present on the occasion. It was not sophisatedly decorated, without any balloons or banners at all. Patio furniture was placed in a corner of the garden for us to throw the party. All the guests were warmly welcomed by the host. We carefully selected a beautiful dress and a bouquet as presents for her birthday. After she blew out the candles, we wished her a prosperous life ahead and then he unwrapped all the gifts. She was extremely cheerful and delighted all the time. After that, we turned on vibrant music and enjoy ourselves at the party. The exciting atmosphere really made us satisfied and contented. After having a good time at the party, we realised it was 10 o'clock and had to return home.

My favorite holiday in the United States is Christmas. I have many good memories of Christmas when I was a boy growing up in Colorado. Every Christmas, our family would go to the mountains to find a nice, big evergreen tree and bring it home to decorate in our living room. I d to sit in the dark and watch the Christmas tree lights twinkle with the snow falling outside. Christmas was a time when our relatives got together and invited friends over for parties. We d to eat many holiday foods chocolate fudge, popcorn balls and pumpkin pie. Sometimes a group of singers would come by our house and sing Christmas songs while we listened. On Christmas morning my family would enjoy exchanging Christmas gifts. It was a happy time for me.
My family is a small one with only three members: my mother, my brother, and I. My mother is a great woman who has always taken very good care of my brother and me.Unfortunately, she is currently unemployed, but we feel secure with her at home when we are. Every morning she fixes breakfast for us, and then my brother, who is in tenth grade, either walks or rides the bus to Overfelt High School. On the other hand, I work at Micro Lamba Wireless Company, but when I am not working I study English at San Jose College. Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.
I live in Ho Chi Minh City, and Tet holiday in the city is very bustling occasion. Within a month before the Lunar New Year, the streets are very crowded, many people go out to do shopping and enjoy the holiday scenery. My parents are busy cleaning the house, and I am busy thinking about what to wear and where to go. Right after we have a break from school, my friends and I spend most of the time on Nguyen Hue Flower Street to take pictures. However, Nguyen Hue Street is not the only beautiful place, almost everywhere in the main streets are wonderful for people to have great pictures. They are beautifully decorated with bright lights, and the apricot blossom - the symbol of New Year's Day can be found everywhere. On New Year's Eve, my family and I watch fireworks from Sai Gon Bridge; we have to go there before nine o’clock to get a good spot. Early in the first morning of the year, we go to the pagoda to pray for peace and health, and then I accompany my parents to visit my grandparents and relatives. Tet is my favorite holiday because it is an occasion to enjoy the festive atmosphere, delicious food, and receive lucky money. I wish that Tet could last for a month.

Vào đêm giao thừa, tôi và gia đình đi xem pháo hoa ở cầu Sài Gòn, chũng tôi phải đến đó trước 9 giờ để có thể có được một vị trí đẹp. Sáng sớm ngày đầu tiên trong năm, chúng tôi đi chùa để cầu bình an và sức khỏe, sau đó tôi sẽ theo bố mẹ đi thăm ông bà và họ hàng. My terrible experience.
It happened 2 years ago when I went to my grandparents' house. I got an accident.
It was lunar new year, after visiting my relations, I was taken home by moto bike. It was far to go home, I was so tired. So I took a nap when I was on moto bike.
I didn't know exactly what had happened to me. I was told by my mother that I had fallen when my brother had stopped immediately to miss the rock. So I had to spent my new year for staying in the hospital about 2 months.

Amidst the immense mountains and forests of Lam Dong province, Dalat, a beautiful town, captivates all those who have been there once. I am one of those.
Dalat is often called the City of Eternal Spring. Flowers of all colors, with many species, the most numerous of which are orchids. More than anywhere else in Vietnam, Dalat sees flowers vie with one another in blossoming in spring. I used to get up early in the morning on fine days to welcome dawn on the highlands. Opening the windows, I had a breath-taking view of nature, and enjoyed the fragrance of wild flowers carried by the clouds, I felt relieved in my heart.
In the late afternoons, I often reserved for visits to the Valley of Love and Sigh Lake covered with quiet pine forests. Twilight on Dalat also brought many pictures and sensations. As a certain poet said, “Dalat is the city of honeymoon, the city of love”.
After two week is rest in Dalat, my health improved a lot. I think in the very near future Dalat will be Switzerland in the South-East Asia. The wind rustling through the pine forests, the roar of waterfalls, the chirping of birds and the clatter of horse ‘s hooves…all of these unforgettable memories always remain with me.
My first visit to Nha Trang, the coastal city, was three years ago. It was a pleasant and memorable trip.
Nha Trang, the capital of Khanhs Hoaf province, has one of the most popular municipal beaches in all of Vietnam. In Nha Trang, nature beauties are so tempting. Waves crashing onto the cliffs; the soft sigh of the sea breeze; clean white sands and turquoise waters; it all makes for a stunning landscapes. On my visit to Nha Trang, I used to get up early each morning to stroll along the beach – a chance to breath in the fresh sea air and enjoy the sunrise across the water. One attraction that captivated me three years ago and still it does is the collection of small offshore islands. Hon Tre is the largest of the islands, and Monkey island is, as the name suggests, the home of hundreds of wild monkeys. Yen island is known for its swifts’ nests.
Nha Trang is the city in hamoney: its fine weather, favorite position and friendly people bring it a cerain balance. Nha Trang is a great holiday destination. I hope to have chance to come back.
