Tet, also known as Lunar new year festival, is the biggest traditional festival in Viet Nam. Tet is usually from the end of January to early February. Before Tet, Vietnamese prepare many things for the three main days. They clean their house and decorate with flowers such as kumquat tree or peach blossom. A huge amount of food will be bought before Tet for making traditional dishes. Banh Chung, Banh Tet, Gio cha, Xoi and Mut, and candies are the foods that must have on Tet holidays. During Tet, people visit their relatives’ homes and give wishes. However, the Vietnamese believe that the first visitor a family receives in the year determines their fortune for the entire year, people never enter any house on the first day without being invited first. Another custom is giving lucky money, which is put into a red envelope as a symbol of luck and wish for a new age. Traditionally, elders will give lucky money to children and the oldest people in the family. However, nowadays, people can give it to anyone including friends, parents, neighbors. Besides, Vietnamese usually go to pagodas or temples to pray for health, wealth, success. To Vietnamese, Tet is the happiest time of all year around, members in a family can gather together, which is a meaningful messages of Lunar New year festival. All in all, Tet is all about back to origins, be good to others, enjoy the precious moment, and wish for the best to come.

In Vietnam , New Year called is Tet.Vietnamese have New Year is very special.Tet is usually start the end of January or in February.In Tet, Vietnamese usually go to Tet Market and buy some peach blossoms, kimquat trees,apricot blossoms and many flowers.Can called Tet is busiest time in the year but we have a smile, a time is happy , family gathering, right?Ok , what do you do in Tet ? I'm usually cook banh chung, go to shopping with my family, go to Tet Market, buy flowers,trees,new clothes , sweets and pie. Ah, I make cu kieu ,sticky rice , jam and i have banh tet by my grandmother, clean the house , decorate the house.This is work we must do before Tet.And How about in during Tet?Oh, I go to visit relatives, got to pagoda and make a wish and I get lucky money, eat special food...
That is my Tet holiday .How about you?I want listen your New Year.

Sau một năm xoay vần nhiều biến động, Tết lại về trên quê hương em. Tiết trời trở nên ấm áp hơn, dịu nhẹ hơn. Những tia nắng nhẹ rải xuống mặt đường, sưởi ấm cho người đi đường. Ai ai cũng vui vẻ, phấn khởi. Mọi ngôi nhà đều đã được dọn dẹp sạch sẽ, tinh tươm từ trước đó. Giờ đây rực rỡ với mai, với đào, với cúc. Cùng đủ thứ hình dán, hình treo, đèn nháy lấp lánh. Trên chiếc bàn ở phòng khách, nhà nào cũng bày ra nào mứt, nào kẹo, nào trà để mời khách. Trẻ con xúng xính bộ cánh mới, sung sướng hò reo ngoài đường. Người lớn thì thư thả ngồi tâm sự những chuyện đã qua, rồi hứa nguyện cho năm mới. Những ngày Tết, mọi người được dịp quan tâm nhau nhiều hơn, chăm chút cho bản thân nhiều hơn. Tết là một dịp quốc lễ. Đây là dịp để mọi người Việt Nam có một khoảng thời gian vui vẻ để suy nghĩ về năm cũ và năm tiếp theo. Vào dịp Tết, các hội chợ xuân được tổ chức, đường phố và các công trình công cộng được trang trí rực rỡ và hầu hết các cửa hàng đều đông đúc người mua sắm Tết. Tại nhà, mọi thứ đều được dọn dẹp sạch sẽ, các món ăn truyền thống, các món ăn khác, nước ngọt, hoa và trầu cau được đặt trên bàn thờ tổ tiên cùng với những nén hương đã được thắp. Xông đất được thực hiện khi có vị khách may mắn đến thăm và đám trẻ được nhận tiền mừng tuổi đựng trong những phong bao đỏ. Tết cũng là thời gian cho hòa bình và tình yêu. Trong dịp Tết, trẻ em thường cư xử tốt và bạn bè, người thân và hàng xóm trao cho nhau những lời chúc tốt nhất cho năm mới.

Mùa xuân về cũng là lúc một năm mới sắp đến. Mọi người đều bận rộn chuẩn bị ngày tết cổ truyền của dân tộc. Người lớn đi chợ mua đồ Tết. Trẻ em háo hức vì được mua quần áo mới, được nhận lì xì... Không khí khắp nơi thật nhộn nhịp. Ở quê em, nhà nào cũng gói bánh chưng, dù ít hay nhiều. Mỗi dịp Tết đến, gia đình em lại về quê thăm ông bà và họ hàng. Em được mọi người mừng tuổi cho những phong bao lì xì đẹp mắt. Mẹ em nói những phong bao ấy là lời chúc tốt đẹp nhất của người lớn dành cho em. Em rất yêu ngày tết trên quê hương mình.

Ngày Tết Nguyên Đán là ngày lễ cổ truyền được người dân ngóng đợi nhất trong cả một năm.
Từ tháng chạp, nghĩa là trước Tết cả một tháng là người ta đã rục rịch chuẩn bị cho Tết rồi. Đó là những tự định, những tính toán. Nào là Tết này đi đâu chơi, Tết này mua hoa gì, làm mứt gì. Dù chỉ mới là trong những câu nói, những cuộc chuyện trò, nhưng không khí đã rất xôm tụ.
Làng em cũng vậy. Dù giàu hay nghèo, người ta đều mong Tết. Từ độ mười ngày trước Tết, bà con làng xóm đã bảo ban nhau làm sạch đường phố. Nhổ cỏ, dọn rác, trồng hoa. Rồi cả treo cờ đỏ sao vàng nữa chứ. Chờ qua hai ba đưa ông Táo về trời. Tết mới thực sự dạm ngõ. Khắp nơi, mọi người rạo rực hẳn lên. Đến như là một cái lễ hội dọn nhà. Từ nhà trong nhà ngoài, nhà trên nhà dưới, từ cái bát cái chén đến bộ bàn ghế, cái gì cũng mang ra chà rửa. Chăn ga áo quần giặt phơi đầy trên các sào tre. Dọn dẹp xong xuôi, ấy là bắt đầu đến sắp Tết. Tầm này hàng quán bày đủ các mặt hàng. Mà lạ cái là toàn là màu vàng màu đỏ thôi. Nghe bảo đó là màu của may mắn. Áo quần mới nè, giày dép mới nè, tóc mới nè. Rồi cả bánh kẹo, hạt mứt nữa. Nhà nào có điều kiện thì mua cây quất, cây mai, cây đào, nhà nào kém hơn xíu thì mua cành, mua bó. Kiểu gì thì cũng phải có hoa. Rồi sát nữa, người ta bắt đầu gói bánh chưng, bánh tét. Ở phố người ta thường đi mua, chứ ở quê em, mọi người thích tự làm lắm. Má bảo, phải tự làm mới có không khí Tết. Thế là gói bánh, rồi làm mứt. Đám con nít vui tít mù cả lên. Vui nhất mấy ngày này, phải nói đến sự trở về của những người con xa quê. Tay xách nách mang, rồi con rồi cháu. Chao ôi! Vui chả kể xiết.
Qua đêm giao thừa pháo hoa bắn tưng bừng, Tết thực sự đã về. Ai cũng thay áo quần mới xinh đẹp. Nhà cửa đã được trang hoàng từ trước. Tươi vui rạng rỡ với khay bánh mứt kẹo là vài bài nhạc xuân rộn ràng. Rồi trong sự ngóng đợi của mấy đứa trẻ, người ta bắt đầu đi chúc Tết nhau, lì xì cho nhau, chúc nhau những điều tốt đẹp nhất. Chẳng cần lo lắng chuyện học hành hay tiền bạc. Chỉ cần vui xuân mà thôi.
Đó chính là những ngày Tết hạnh phúc ở quê em đó. Tuy không to và hào nhoáng như thành phố lớn, nhưng vẫn vui vẻ vô cùng.

Tet is grandest and mót important occasion in the year in vietnam. Last tet holiday I have 11 day-off from 19th to 20th january. And I think I shall never forget that holyday. The first day-off I spent all time to relax after along year.Then I cleaned up my room and helped my mother decorating our house with peach blosson, kumquat tree and other flower. Tet is indispenable Chung cake and last year I leart make it. On New year's Eva my family got together to watch firework talk about old year and hope have a happy new year. Next I went to pagodo to pray for a happy new year for me and my family. Tet is coming. Tell me about what you will do for Tet hoiliday. In the country, I often occurs in late January or early February. Before Tet, people often clen the house and decorate their house. They go shopping by food, drinks and new clothes. Before Tet, about 1 or 2 days, people make banh chung and boil them a big pot. They always special meal with delicous food. They also have family gatherings during Tet. At Tet, They often visit relatives and friends and give than best wishes. The children like getting lucky money. They cuoid fighting or breaking things to get food luck round a year. I think Tet is most only interesting but also wonderful. I wish today were Tet hoiliday.

Hello, my name is Phuong. I am 13 years old. I live with my family in Vinh city, Nghe An province, Vietnam. In my country, spring is the best season of the year because it has Tet holiday. In Tet holiday, the streets are very beautiful with green trees, flowers, and funny noisy. In every house, there are a big tree with many love flowers and plants. Any things else? Yes, there are a lot of delicous drinks, cakes and candies. In Tet holiday, children have money from adults. It's so greet. We enjoy a happy Tet holiday every years. Tet is a traditional holiday of our country Vietnam. The season of Tet occurs around the biginning of February and end of Janaurỵ The meaning of Tet is ending old year and welcome a new year. Tet holiday is very special for Vietnamese families to reunite. At that time, all family members try to come back their homes and get together to prepare for Tet. Moreover they will buy new clothes and clean their house. A branch of Mai flower or a Kumquat tree can't be absent from every home. They bring a fresh atmosphere to the house. We decorate ancestral altar with a tray full of fruits and flowers. Some typical Tet's food such as sweets, coconut jam, candied fruits, lemon seeds, rice cake , "thit kho"( stew pork with eggs). A special food can not absent is sky rice cake.. It is our country's traditional food on Tet holiday. Tet meal is more dilicious than our every day. On Tet holiday, people have many typical activities. Young persons takes part in the traditional games such as: tug; cooking rice, cock fighting, watching lion dance. Many people visit relatives to wish a happy new year. A dults will give lucky money for children. Woman going to pagoda to wish good things will come to their familỵ
In my oppinion, i cozy and fresh Tets atmosphere. All member of family talk together about a happy new year. I can hang out with my friend and don't worry about any thịng " Tet" holiday is always in Vietnamese's heart.

Xuân! Xuân đã về-mùa của ước mơ,mùa của sức sống,khát khao đã về rồi. Trong vườn, cây cối bỏ đi cái áo khoác mà đã mang suốt mùa đông lạnh lẽo để thay vào đó là bộ quần áo mới tràn đầy những lá non,lộc biếc. Hoa khoe sắc, lộng lẫy trước nắng xuân.Trong các vòm cây,kẽ lá,những chú chim sơn ca cất vang lên bản nhạc chào xuân,rộn rã.Chỉ mới có vài hôm trước, mọi vật còn ủ rũ trong mùa đông mà giờ đã xanh tốt,tươi vui lạ thường.Trên nền trời,cánh én chao liệng vu vơ,từng đám mây bông trắng xốp nhẹ nhàng lững thững trôi,vui mừng.Ôi! thật là đẹp. All of the special holidays in my country, I Tet the most. Tet is an occasion to everyone get together in warm atmosphere. Before Tet holiday, Everyone prepares many things and decorates their house. I plant a lot of flowers in front of my house and buy many things such as clothes, foods ...
Besides, most of the streets also are decorated beautifully with colorful lights and flowers. During Tet, I spends more time on visiting my relatives, friends and colleagues. Especially, I give to each other the best wishes for the new year. Tet is an opportunity for children receive lucky money. There is a funny thing that people try to avoid argument or saying any bad things at Tet. I love Tet holiday!

Tet is one of the most important holiday in Viet Nam and many Asian countries. Tet or Lunar New year is often held at the end of January or the beginning of February. Vietnamese people always do many different things to prepare for Tet. Before Tet some weeks, people always repaint their house, clean the house and around. They also decorate their houses with Kumquat tree, cherry blossom branches or many colourful flowers. Then they make many traditional food such as Chung cake, pickled onions. Children are bought new clothes by their parents. All of the family members gather to give each other the best wishes and have a meal on New Year's Eve. On the first day of new year, people visit relatives’ house and give lucky money to children or the elderly. In the rest time of Tet, people can go to pagodas to pray for good things, peace, and health. To conclusion, Tet is an occasion for all people to reunion and relax after a hard-working year.

Tết là một trong những ngày lễ quan trọng nhất ở Việt Nam và nhiều nước châu Á. Tết Nguyên Đán thường được tổ chức vào cuối tháng Giêng hoặc đầu tháng Hai. Người Việt Nam luôn làm nhiều việc khác nhau để chuẩn bị cho Tết. Trước Tết vài tuần, bao giờ người ta cũng sơn lại nhà, dọn dẹp nhà cửa và xung quanh. Thời gian còn lại của Tết, mọi người có thể đi lễ chùa để cầu những điều tốt lành, bình an và sức khỏe. Tóm lại, Tết là dịp để mọi người đoàn tụ, thư giãn sau một năm làm việc vất vả.

I love Tet the most.It is also called Luar New Year,which is held mainly in Asian countries.On this holiday,we will have a lot to do.Before Tet about a week or two,people started to sell and buy flower,fruit,snacks,...along with incense.You can buy them easily because things are sell along the street.It is a beautyful and fun sight.Then,people will repaint the house,clean and decorate it.The houses are look so beautyful!Then on the 29th of the 12th lunar month,we will wait until the clock strike 12o'clock.It is very fun but also tired to wait for the time of the old year finally pass.On the first day,people will sing karaoke and eat the traditional foods,sweets and alot.Then we will offer foods,flower and incense for our ancestors and visit our relatives.I love this festival because it is fun and give me happiness,and giving me a great time with my family,friends and ralatives.
