Air pollution is now a serious problem for those living in big, congested, industrialized cities with heavy vehicular traffic.
Air pollution may be defined as the occurrence of any foreign materials or gases such as oxides of carbon, sulphur and nitrogen in the air beyond prescribed limit, which are harmful for man, vegetation, animals or buildings.
The major gaseous pollutants of air are carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen and sulphur, hydrogen sulphide, fumes of acids, paints, smoke etc. Major solid pollutants of air are dust particles, of un-burnt carbon, lead, cement and asbestos.

To many Vietnamese, Tet holiday has to be one of the most important celebrations throughout the year that contains both important cultural and spiritual values. Tet usually takes place in late January and early February each year. The festival always fascinates people with tons of exciting activities such as cooking sticky rice, decorating houses, as well as participating in games that are held from places to places. Tet is also the time for family reunion, when people are off from work and can visit relatives, friends and colleagues frequently. Additionally, this is also the occasion for people to show gratitude to their ancestors as well as wish kids good fortune by giving them lucky money. To conclude, Tet is a really terrific holiday for the Vietnamese to relax, have fun and practice traditional customs as well.

Đối với nhiều người Việt Nam, Tết là một trong những lễ hội quan trọng nhất trong năm có những giá trị văn hoá và tinh thần quan trọng. Tết thường diễn ra vào cuối tháng 1 và đầu tháng 2 hàng năm. Tết luôn thu hút mọi người bằng hàng loạt các hoạt động thú vị như nấu cơm, trang trí nhà, tham gia các trò chơi được tổ chức từ nơi này sang nơi khác. Tết cũng là thời gian để đoàn tụ gia đình, khi mọi người nghỉ việc và có thể thăm họ hàng, bạn bè và đồng nghiệp . Tết or Vietnamese New Year, is the most important celebration in Vietnamese culture, which usually has the date falling in January or February. It takes place from the first day of the first month of the Vietnamese calendar (around late January or early February) until at least the third day. Many Vietnamese prepare for Tết by cooking special holiday food and cleaning the house. These foods include bánh chưng, bánh dày, dried young bamboo soup (canh măng), giò, and sticky rice. Many customs are practices during Tết, such as visiting a person's house on the first day of the new year (xông nhà), ancestor worship, wishing New Year's greetings, giving lucky money to children and elderly people, and opening a shop.Tết is also an occasion for pilgrims and family reunions. They start forgetting about the troubles of the past year and hope for a better upcoming year. They consider Tết to be the first day of spring, and the festival is often called Hội xuân (spring festival).

Environmental pollution is the status of environmental contamination by chemical, biological ... affect human health, other living organisms.Environmental pollution is caused by humans and human management.
The main types of pollution :
- Air pollution : Smoke and dust discharge chemicals into the atmosphere. Examples of toxic gases as carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, cloroflorocacbon substances (CFCs) and nitrous oxide are of industrial waste and vehicle
- Water pollution occurs when surface water flows through the domes waste, industrial waste water, pollutants in the ground, and groundwater seepage.
- Soil pollution occurs when soil contaminated with toxic chemicals (concentrations exceed normal limits) by the activities of man as active mining, industrial production and use of chemical fertilizers Study or too much peside, ... or leaks from underground storage tanks. Most common types of soil contaminants are hydrocarbons, heavy metals, MTBE, herbicides, pesides, and chlorinated hydrocarbons .

+ For human health : Air pollution can kill many living organisms including humans. Ozone pollution can cause respiratory disease, cardiovascular disease, inflammation of the throat, chest pain, breathlessness. Water pollution causes approximately 14,000 deaths per day, mainly by eating contaminated with untreated water. Chemicals and heavy metals contamination in food and drink can cause cancer. Oil spills can cause itching blisters. Noise pollution causes hearing loss, hypertension, depression, and insomnia., causing serious consequences .
+ For ecosystem :
- Sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides cause acid rain can reduce soil pH.
- Contaminated land may become barren, not suitable for crops. This will affect other living organisms in food webs.
- Smoke and fog reduce sunlight that plants receive to make the process of photosynthesis.

Ô nhiễm môi trường là tình trạng môi trường bị ô nhiễm bởi các chất hóa học, sinh học... gây ảnh hưởng đến sức khỏe con người, các cơ thể sống khác . Ô nhiễm môi trường là do con người và cách quản lý của con người.
Các dạng ô nhiễm chính :
- Ô nhiễm không khí, việc xả khói chứa bụi và các chất hóa học vào bầu không khí. Ví dụ về các khí độc là cacbon mônôxít, điôxít lưu huỳnh, các chất cloroflorocacbon (CFCs), và ôxít nitơ là chất thải của công nghiệp và xe cộ .
- Ô nhiễm nước xảy ra khi nước bề mặt chảy qua rác thải sinh hoạt, nước rác công nghiệp, các chất ô nhiễm trên mặt đất, rồi thấm xuống nước ngầm.
- Ô nhiễm đất xảy ra khi đất bị nhiễm các chất hóa học độc hại (hàm lượng vượt quá giới hạn thông thường)do các hoạt động chủ động của con người như khai thác khoáng sản, sản xuất công nghiệp, sử dụng phân bón hóa học hoặc thuốc trừ sâu quá nhiều,... hoặc do bị rò rỉ từ các thùng chứa ngầm. Phổ biến nhất trong các loại chất ô nhiễm đất là hydrocacbon, kim loại nặng, MTBE, thuốc diệt cỏ, thuốc trừ sâu, và các hydrocacbon clo hóa .

Ảnh hưởng :
+ Đối với sức khỏe con người : Không khí ô nhiễm có thể giết chết nhiều cơ thể sống trong đó có con người. Ô nhiễm ozone có thể gây bệnh đường hô hấp, bệnh tim mạch, viêm vùng họng, đau ngực, tức thở. Ô nhiễm nước gây ra xấp xỉ 14.000 cái chết mỗi ngày, chủ yếu do ăn uống bằng nước bẩn chưa được xử lý. Các chất hóa học và kim loại nặng nhiễm trong thức ăn nước uống có thể gây ung thư. Dầu tràn có thể gây ngứa rộp da. Ô nhiễm tiếng ồn gây điếc, cao huyết áp, trầm cảm, và bệnh mất ngủ., gây nhiều hậu quả nghiêm trọng .
+ Đối với hệ sinh thái :
- Điôxít lưu huỳnh và các ôxít nitơ có thể gây mưa axít làm giảm độ pH của đất.
- Đất bị ô nhiễm có thể trở nên cằn cỗi, không thích hợp cho cây trồng. Điều này sẽ ảnh hưởng đến các cơ thể sống khác trong lưới thức ăn .
- Khói lẫn sương làm giảm ánh sáng mặt trời mà thực vật nhận được để thực hiện quá trình quang hợp .
- Các loài xâm lấn có thể cạnh tranh chiếm môi trường sống và làm nguy hại cho các loài địa phương, từ đó làm giảm đa dạng sinh học.
Khí CO2 sinh ra từ các nhà máy và các phương tiện qua lại còn làm tăng hiệu ứng nhà kính. Trái Đất ngày một nóng dần lên. Phá hủy dần các khu du lịch tự nhiên mà nó sẵn có.
Giải pháp để hạn chế ô nhiễm môi trường :
- Giảm độ mặn cho đất.
- Xử lý nước tự nhiên bị ô nhiễm.
- Làm trong sạch không khí ..

In Vietnamese have many drink but i most is water. Fresh water is the most important source of life on the earth. Any living thing may survive without food for days however it is impossible to imagine life without water and oxygen. The ever increasing human population enhances the demand of more water for purposes like drinking, washing, performing industrial processes, irrigating crops, arranging swimming pools and other water-sports centres. Water pollution is done by the people of all over the world because of increasing demands and competitions of luxuries life. Waste products from many human activities are spoiling the whole water and decreasing the amount of oxygen available in the water. Such pollutants are altering the physical, chemical, thermal, and biological characteristics of the water and adversely affecting the lives inside as well as outside the water.
When we drink the polluted water, harmful chemicals and other pollutants goes inside our body and deteriorates all the body organs functioning and puts our lives in danger. Such harmful chemicals also disturb the lives of animals and plants greatly. When plants absorb dirty water through their roots, they stop growing and die. Thousands of seabirds are killing because of the oil spilling from ships and industries. High level of water pollution is done due to the chemicals coming out of the agricultural usage of fertilizers, insecticides and pesticides. The effect of water pollution varies from place to place upon the type and amount of water contamination. The degradation of drinking water needs an urgent basis prevention method which is possible by the proper understanding and support from the end of each and every person living on the earth.
In some remote areas in Vietnam, some people do not have enough clean water to use. As a result, they have to use the water from the river or hand-digged wells and they contain some substance that affects health. Moreover, water filtration systems are impossible to meet the needs of people. The authority has applied a lot of solutions and actions but it must take a lot of time and efforts to supply clean water to every house. Furthermore, the rivers and lakes are contaminated by factories that pour waste into them. They should have inadequate waste-treatment systems to filter the waste before pouring it into the river and the government should have new strict laws to prevent the firm pour waste into water. Water pollution causes great damage, it causes diseases like cholera, diarrhea and skin diseases. The fatality rate of cholera has risen recently especially the children under 5. Water pollution can destroy farming and kill animals around the source like fish and some aquatic life. Water pollution can kill plant life, plants died when they were irrigated with water containing heavy chemicals.
