            Television  owes its origins to many inventors. But it was the single -minded determination of an amateur’ John Logie Baird ‘that led (1)…….. the first live television broadcast.

            Born in Scotland in 1888 and educated in Glassgow’ John Logie Baird earned a living (2)………a razor-blade salesman.
