Des Moines is the capital of Iowa. Life here is upbeat but not too busy. Everyone that is born and raised in Iowa is very relaxed and kind. We love to say hi and help one another and we love cars. Generally, traffic is pretty good. We don't have a lot of traffic jams. However, during rush hours, you cannot move an inch on the interstate because everyone is trying to get on and off. This usually creates chaos and a huge traffic jam. In Des Moines, we have all kinds of jobs, from white to blue-collar jobs. Inside downtown, we usually have white-collar jobs. The father away from downtown, the more blue-collar jobs we have. Due to the huge population of immigrants, the city of Des Moines is also very diverse. This diversion births a hub of mulultural foods. Driving down Douglas Ave, you can see different kinds of foods from many cultures, such as Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Italian, Hispanic, American, Indian, Burmese, etc. One day you can have Chinese, the next day Indian. In Iowa, Des Moines is the most diverse and busiest city. It houses many families from many different countries and still able to keep American culture and values.

Being a summer volunteer is one of the good things we can do in our student time. Instead of wasting our time playing games or wandering with our friends, we can join the Blue Summer campaign at schools. By doing so, we can become young volunteers to help people who are in need. I always remember last summer when our volunteer team had been to a poor countryside. That place even lacked of clean water and electricity, while in many other places people are wasting them. After a day of resting, we started to clean up the old school together, attended in the project of reconstructing a number of local bridges which funded by donors. We lived in some of the houses of the local people, and we spent time doing house chores, playing, and eating together. Although their lives are lacking of materials, their hearts are full of love and kindness. We helped them with our strength and the ebullient spirit of youth, and in return they took care of us so we could be safe and happy while we were away from home. After a month and a half, we successfully restored an old school and one bridge, and we built one more small new bridge. These things really helped children at that place had a better educational environment, and people had an easier road to go to work. Local people were very excited with those new constructions, and we promised to come back next summer to bring better things. When the volunteer trip ended, my parents were very happy when I came back home safely. I felt so proud of myself because I could prove that I was a mature person by helping other people. Summer is coming soon, and I cannot wait to be on my next volunteer trip together with my friends.

vietnam is famous with its traditional and delicious dishes. All of them easioly bring to anyone's mouth indeed, but as myself, I enjoy spring rolls best. Spring rolls are lightly fried rice - paper rolls, smaller and crispier than Chinese egg rolls but more flavorful. They are filled with highly seasond morsels of crab, shrimp, chopped vegetables, onion, mushroom, vermicelli and eggs. To prepare them, place the above mentioned filling on a thin rice pancake, roll up then fry. Finally, spring rolls, when fully prepared, are wrapped into somes kinds of fresh vegetables, then doused in fish sauce. My mother ussually cooks spring rolls for me, espeicially on important days in year, such as Tet holiday. when I eat them, i feel all of my mother's love that she reserves for me. To me, they're like the most speicial dish in this world.

My dream house is a large villa. It is near the coast, surrounded by rows of coconut trees and the blue sea. There are sixteen rooms in my house and half of them for relaxation and entertainment. It has a big garage so that I can store my super cars there. My house has wind power or solar energy. I use hi-tech and automa machines such as a smart clock, modern fridge, automa dishwasher and washing machine. They can be controlled by voice and help me tell the time, forecast weather, preserve food and wash dishes and clothes. There is a super smart TV in my house. I might surf the internet, watch my favourite TV programmes from space or contact friends on other planets by this fantas TV. I might also join online classes on TV and not have to go to school.

My best friend in high school is Lan. Lan sits next to me in class, eats with me at break time, and hangs out with me after school. She has long and beautiful hair; my mother always says that I need to pay more attention to my hair so it can be pretty as hers. I am good at English while Lan is excellent in Math, therefore we can help each other every time one of us has trouble in understanding those subjects. Besides our study, Lan is always by my side whenever I feel upset. I tell her everything, and only her can know my true feelings. We have been best friends since our young age, and I will keep this friendship forever.

In the past, we used to think that being good and smart is about the subjects of natural or social knowledge, ignoring or overlooking arts such as drama, music, etc. And many people think that teaching These subjects in high schools are not necessary but many others think that they are not only necessary but also the survival of a comprehensive and modern education. So which way to go?

We can see the importance of the artis elements in everyday life or in the educational environment. If life without music, without art ... there will be no beauty of aesthes, our soul will no longer be relaxed and fostered. In the course of teaching and learning, students not only acquire scientific knowledge but also have to develop their individual creativity, build tastes, and sense of aesthe ability ... through subjects such as associations. painting, dance, music ...

In advanced countries, they have introduced art subjects to schools for a long time, both compulsory and optional subjects for students to provide the basic knowledge of enjoyment and creativity. arts, have just been fostered and developed the specific competencies or the career that I intend to pursue. An advanced and successful education allows students to develop holisally and realize the potential of each individual.

As such, each student needs to take the initiative in directing his or her own path, needing to develop both scientific knowledge and aesthe thinking in parallel. Let life be a colorful flower garden, where there are the most beautiful, most complete knowledge flowers and the most fragrant aesthe fragrance
