Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked, offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

Tet is a traditional holiday of our country Vietnam. The season of Tet occurs around the biginning of February and end of Janaurỵ The meaning of Tet is ending old year and welcome a new year. Tet holiday is very special for Vietnamese families to reunite. At that time, all family members try to come back their homes and get together to prepare for Tet. Moreover they will buy new clothes and clean their house. A branch of Mai flower or a Kumquat tree can't be absent from every home. They bring a fresh atmosphere to the house. We decorate ancestral altar with a tray full of fruits and flowers. Some typical Tet's food such as sweets, coconut jam, candied fruits, lemon seeds, rice cake , "thit kho"( stew pork with eggs). Vietnam is famous for its several holiday and festival, especially Tet holiday. It takes place from the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar until at least the third day. Although occurring in short period of time, it is believed to be the most important and popular holiday in Vietnam. There are many special food are made so as to prepare for Tet meal such as: sky square cake, Vietnamese sausage, sky rice and jam. The food is thought to reflect Vietnam’s habit and custom as well as Vietnamese’s lifestyle. Besides, the meal has other dishes fish, vegetable to show the hope for a successful and prosperous new year. In term of customs, children’s receiving red envelop from the elder, visiting relative’s houses and going to church are popular activities. Giving lucky money is thought to bring children hope and health. Church is the symbol of peace; therefore, individual go there and pray for successive year. Traditionally, the house is designed with peach flower in the North and Ochna integerrima in the south part of Vietnam. Besides, the house as well as town are clear, decorative and beautiful as all are ready to start a new year. People have cozy atmosphere and enjoy joyful time with their family’s members. It’s high time for people living at different parts of country gathering and spending time together. Tet is a chance for one to come back home after many stress and pressure of studying and working environment. Tet is not simply a holiday, it is culture and habit of Vietnamese since its deep meaning is sacred and important. Vietnam is a country which has a combination of modern and tradition. We can easily see that through the way Vietnamese people dress, and our traditional costume besides the trending fashion is Ao Dai. Ao Dai can be considered as a kind of long dress, but it has some interesting variations. The first thing to mention is the fabric. Unlike many traditional gowns of different nations in Asia, Ao Dai has the lightest choice of fabric. It does not consist of many layer such as the Kimono of Japan, and it is not too big like the Hanbok of Korea. Second, the form of Ao Dai is also simple. It has only two pieces on the front and the back which go together with long big pants. The one for female is usually fits perfectly to the curves of the body, while the one for male is usually large to give a comfortable feeling. Although it seems simple, Ao Dai has many different versions for each occasion. For high school students, they wear white Ao Dai with white or black pants to dignify the innocence of youth. In some traditional events such as Tet holiday, people will wear colorful pieces to mark the joyful atmosphere. At the weddings, both of the broom and the bride put on red or yellow Ao Dai to wish for luck and happiness for their marriage. Wedding Ao Dai is a little bit more complicated with the embroidered details of phoenix, dragon and flowers; and they all go with a matching turban which is made from hard fabric or metal. In my opinion, Ao Dai is the most beautiful clothes for Vietnamese, and I am so proud to put it on whenever I have chance.

My favourite program is Doraemon. It often broadcast at 8.30 every evening on HTV3 channel. This cartoon talks about a future cat called Doraemon and his lazy friend - Nobita. Doraemon is very clever. On the contrary, Nobita is clumsy, stupid and he is very lazy. He depends on Doraemon' s pallows to make a lot of wonderful things with his group of friends - Shizuka , Giant, Sunio. I love watching Doraemon very much because it helps me relax after a tiring school. I love Doraemon very much!

It is about a robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from the 22nd century to help a schoolboy, Nobita Nobi. It is made in Japan. Doraemon is an intelligent robotic cat, Nobita is a clumsy student, Shizuka is a pretty girl, Sueno is a rich kid and Gian is selfish and violent. The film has a happy ending.

It often begins in late-January and ends in early-February. With the meaning of seeing the old year off and welcoming the new year, Tet becomes a special occasion of reunion for Vietnamese families. At that time, all family members try to come back to their home and get together to make such preparations for Tet as buying new clothes and cleaning their house. A branch of apricot blossoms or a Kumquat tree is indispensable decoration for every family in these days. They seem like a fresh air to the house. We display a tray full of fruits and vases of flowers on the ancestral altar.

Hello, everybody! My name is Thao. Today I am here to present to you about Favorite TV shows. I very watching cartoons. And of all the film I have seen, “Grave of the fireflies” is one in the cartoons which I most. In Vietnamese it’s called is “Can ham đom đom” or “Mo đom đom”. It’s a tragic story about two childents in the war. It’s made from Japan by Ghibli studio, directed and written by Takahata Isao. It is based on a nover of Nosaka Akiyuki. It’s written as a apologize to his sister. With Japanese, this film is understand as a fable about the respect. Film is been in historical background at the end of the seconds world war from Japan. Film tells a painful story but moving to brothers sentiment of two orphanages : Seita and Setsuko. They lost mother after a fierce bombing of American air force to Kobe city while their father combat for Japanese navy. So Seita and Setsuko must to struggle to exist between the famine and the resistance to merciless of surrounding people (that have their kinship). They have to live in a shelter-pit and often eat frogs and lizards. At the end, Setsuko have to die for hunger, pictures depict painfulness and the death of little girl can be considered as the most mournful film pictures in the cartoon Japan history. When everybody, who had seen this film are asked, most of them said they cried, and that have me.That brings me to the end of my presentation. Many thanks for your attention!

Enviroment is neccessary thing for this life. Enviroment is the air we breath, the water people drink and is everything they need for their life. But now the most important thing for the life is being polluted. This pollution affects the health of all living things. Air is damaged by lorry fumes and car, and power stations create acid rain which can destroys entire lakes and forests. When fossil fuels: gas, oil and coal are burned to provide energy for cooking, lighting etc. they form polluting gases. Not only on land but also in the sea, oils spills pollute sea water and kill marine life; chemical waste from sewage works and factories, and artificial fertilisers from farmland, pollute river water, spreading disease, and killing wildlife. Everything is being caused by human’s existence. Humans create rubbish! Each household produces about one tonne of rubbish each year! Most of this is taken away by dustmen and burned in incinerators or buried in enormous landfill sites – both of these actions can be dangerous for our environment.
But only people can change and solve it. Pollution could be prevented by all thing we do each day. First people can use recycled paper to save trees. Second try to avoid using plas. It is hard to recycle. People should refuse to use carrier bags. If people can not avoid buying plas bags, they should use re-use plas bags many times. Finally people must take their old clothes to charity shops. People also should save energy to protect environment. Switching off all electric things when they are not in use, walk or use a bicycle instead of car for short trips, keep healthy life and keep clean atmosphere.
Keep clean environment isn’t only all ways are mentioned before but also to protect natural resources. That is the way to conserver wild life. First we need to conserve the old forest, rainforest, build more safari and national park, and plant more trees to make place to live for wild animals. Second we need to prohibit hunters who hunt animals too many out of the law allowance.
Finally, we now know that enviroment is the most important thing for life and we know how to protect and use it scientifically. Everyday we invent and find more and more way to protect enviroment. I hope that in the future the earth will be cleaner.
