Tet, also known as Lunar new year festival, is the biggest traditional festival in Viet Nam. Tet is usually from the end of January to early February. Before Tet, Vietnamese prepare many things for the three main days. They clean their house and decorate with flowers such as kumquat tree or peach blossom. A huge amount of food will be bought before Tet for making traditional dishes. Banh Chung, Banh Tet, Gio cha, Xoi and Mut, and candies are the foods that must have on Tet holidays. During Tet, people visit their relatives’ homes and give wishes. However, the Vietnamese believe that the first visitor a family receives in the year determines their fortune for the entire year, people never enter any house on the first day without being invited first. Another custom is giving lucky money, which is put into a red envelope as a symbol of luck and wish for a new age. Traditionally, elders will give lucky money to children and the oldest people in the family. However, nowadays, people can give it to anyone including friends, parents, neighbors. Besides, Vietnamese usually go to pagodas or temples to pray for health, wealth, success. To Vietnamese, Tet is the happiest time of all year around, members in a family can gather together, which is a meaningful messages of Lunar New year festival. All in all, Tet is all about back to origins, be good to others, enjoy the precious moment, and wish for the best to come.

Traditional Tet is one of the most important festivals of Vietnam. Just like in Western countries that follow Christianity, Christmas is a sacred and important holiday, so is the traditional New Year's Day. Traditional New Year's Day is called Lunar New Year or Lunar New Year, and is considered the most important moment of a year. The time starts on the 1st day of the 1st lunar month of the new year. The Lunar New Year usually falls between the end of January and the middle of February of a calendar year. Normally in Vietnam, every occasion to prepare for the Lunar New Year, everyone, whether working or going to school, has a holiday schedule. Normally, the time off is from one working week or more (for employees) and two to three days before December 30. To prepare for the important Tet holiday of this year, every family often buys a lot of new things, cleans the house, prepares a tray of rice to worship ancestors. And yet, on the traditional New Year's Day, there is also a custom to visit the elderly, family members, friends and neighbors every time Tet comes. At that time, homeowners or adults will give lucky money to children and elders with wishes at the beginning of the new year of peace, prosperity, and everything as desired. This is not only a custom but also a cultural beauty of the Vietnamese people, to show concern and hope for a full and peaceful life for everyone.
Vietnam is a multi-ethnic country with 54 ethnic groups living together. Kinh people account for 85.4% of Vietnam's population, with 78.32 million people. The remaining 53 ethnic minorities (ethnic minorities) account for only 14.6% of the national population (See Table 1) . Although Vietnam supports the Declaration of Indigenous Peoples' Rights (UNDRIP), the Government does not identify the concept of indigenous peoples. Instead, the Government uses the term "ethnic minorities" to refer to those who are not Kinh people, expressing the "unified in diversity" policy of the Government. There are also many differences among ethnic minorities. Among them, Chinese people (Han ethnicity) have many cultural characteriss similar to Vietnamese culture, and they also play an important role in the Vietnamese economy. Therefore, Chinese people are often not recorded. recognize as a "minority" in Vietnam. Other ethnic groups, such as the H'Mong and Nung ethnic groups, mainly depend on cultivation and maintain the cultural life associated with the areas Forest. Ethnic minority groups are also divided into languages. The languages of Vietnamese ethnic groups are divided into 8 groups: Viet - Muong, Tay - Thai, Mon - Khmer, Mong - Dao, Ka Belt, Nam Dao, Han and Tibetan.6 96% of ethnic minorities speak their mother
In the world, there are many countries but I love Australia the best. Australia is located in southern hemisphere between the Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean. This is the smallest continent in the world, 6th largest city with the area of 7,686, 850 sq km(slightly smaller than the contigous 48 US State). The population of the country is 21 million (July 2008 estimate) and the capital is Canberra. Australia is a beautiful country with the climate is generally arid to semiarid. The common languages here are English and native language. Australians are very kind and friendly. They loves sport including rugby, football, golf, swimming and cricket. If you want to choose some places for you holiday, Autralia will be an ideal places with a lot of destinations such as Sydney Opera House, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Melbourne,...You also can try delicious traditional food like Barbecued shrimp, steak, dim sun, potato cakes, fifh and chip,..The country is really a attractive place to visit.
My country has a lot of custom such as: wearing “Ao dai”, reuniting family in Mid-autumn festival, making “Banh Chung” on Tet holiday, etc . However, the custom I would like people from other countries to adopt is cleaning and decorating the ancestral graves. There are two reasons why I want to choose it.
First of all, grave-visiting festival is on the fifth of January in lunar calendar It’s the time for people to visit their ancestor’s graves. While old members burn incense and clean the graves, children talk together and play some games. This action helps them to pay their ancestor the honour and show their respect to someone who passed away .
Secondly, in this special occasion, members in family can reunite and take care of each other. Family members make “banh troi”, “banh chay” to worship the ancestors. After that they eat together. Therefore, this custom makes family’s atmosphere warmer and warmer.
In short, I would like people from other countries to adopt this special custom because it’s really meaningful. It helps young generation to dedicate to their ancestors and keeps family spirit warm. Therefore, other country should adopt this custom.

The city is great, but it isn't definitely great, there are still a few drawbacks. The first one is air pollution. The cities is very developed, and thereare lots of factories. So there will be a lot of smoke, which is very harmful to our health. Secondly, there will be a lot of people in the city, causing overpopulation. We will feel uncomfortable when we are there. There will be a lot of traffic on the road, causing traffic jam, it will take up our time. And in my opinion, there are a few townspeople that are unfriendly and impolite. These are my opinion about the drawbacks of living in a city. Of course it has disadvantages, I wish you to correct them.
Tham Khảo:
There are a lot of disadvantages of living in a big city, but air pollution, traffic jam, and the high living standard are three main disadvantages. Firstly, air pollution is a big disadvantage that people living in big cities have to face. Big cities attract a lot of investments of inside and outside country, so the number of factories is increasing fast. This makes the air extremely polluted by smoke from factories, trucks, and motorbikes. As a result, more and more people get many serious diseases, such as lung cancer, tuberculosis and so on. Next is traffic jam. There are a lot of people and transportation in big cities, so traffic jam is an unavoidable problem. People can not go to work on time because they are always stuck for hours in rush hour. Besides, transport system which is stuck will cause a lot of serious problems. For example, ambulance and fire engine can not get in time to complete duty, so there is a big loss of humans and property. It also takes a lot of money of producers when their goods do not get in time. Lastly, the living standard in big cities is very high. Nowadays, the development of big cites is faster and faster, so these big cities become big economic centers of country. Because of that, public services such as health service, postal service, etc cost a lot. It will be difficult for the poor and workers to live in big cities because they have to pay too much for public services while their salary is too low. In conclusion, it is not easy to live in a big city.As we know, English is very important in our life . English is the most common language in the word but I think it is very difficult to learn . Environment is an essential part of our life. A clean environment is necessary for a peaceful and healthy life. An environment is the natural surroundings which helps human beings, animals and other living things to grow and develop naturally. But nowadays, our environment is disturbing in many different ways. Any type of disturbance in the nature’s balance affects the environment totally. It does not only ruin human lives but also affects on all living beings. We can save our environment with the little step taken by everyone on the earth. We should reduce the amount of waste, throwing wastes properly to its place only…and many other simple ways. It is very important to save environment for human existence.
