My best friend is my classmate at school. She and I have been studying together since we entered school in kindergarten. We have studied together all these years. We also travel by the school bus together because we stay close to each other. Her home is only a ten minute walk from my place.
My friend is kindly and sweet-natured. We are always happy to be with each other. We enjoy studying, playing and eating together. If I am sad she will do all she can to make me smile and feel happy.
She has always been kind and helpful to me. When I miss school because I am unwell she comes to my place to share with me all that has been done at school. When she misses school I too help her with all that has been covered at school. We also play badminton together in the evenings.
Everyone of us has at least one best friend to share happiness and sadness in our life. I am too. My best friend is Lan. Her house is next to mine. So we grew up together and became best friend.
Volunteering is what we do for the benefit of the community. Almost everyone enjoys this job, and so do I, or help the elderly, especially the sick. When you help disabled people, they don't need valuable things like money, house, etc. They simply need enough to eat, have a stable job and have relatives. Besides, I also want to take care of the elderly and sick because I consider them as my relatives, hoping to help them overcome loneliness and illness. I help them get a stable job,... Volunteering is not as difficult as you think. I would also encourage my friends to donate clothes and blankets for them.
Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing to enquire about the tour guide training courses offered by SGV Vocational School. I am very interested in exploring different cultures and would like to know more about the courses.
Firstly, I would like to ask if there is a test requirement to enroll in the tour guide training courses. As I do not have any previous qualifications in this field, I would like to know if there are any specific requirements for admission.
Secondly, I would appreciate it if you could inform me if SGV Vocational School offers any discounts for students who are financially disadvantaged. This would greatly assist me in planning for the cost of the training.
Lastly, I would like to enquire about the daily wage for the apprenticeships provided by SGV Vocational School. It would be great if you could provide me with more information about this opportunity.
Thank you for considering my request. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Lan
Living in a smart city offers a myriad of benefits that significantly enhance the quality of life. The integration of advanced technologies in urban infrastructure fosters efficiency and sustainability. Smart cities leverage data analytics and the Internet of Things (IoT) to optimize various aspects of daily living, from traffic management to waste disposal. This results in reduced congestion, lower pollution levels, and improved overall environmental sustainability. Additionally, smart cities often boast enhanced public services, such as efficient public transportation systems and responsive emergency services. Residents can enjoy the convenience of connected technologies, including smart homes and digital services, contributing to a more streamlined and interconnected community. Ultimately, the smart city concept not only enhances urban living but also promises a more sustainable, efficient, and enjoyable lifestyle for its inhabitants.
Environment means the surroundings in which we all live. It includes every form of living and non-living thing on the planet earth. The major issue these days we are facing is environmental pollution. The harmful pollutants in the environment contaminate the environment and have several harmful effects on biotic and abiotic factors. The major types of environmental pollution include air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution, soil pollution, etc.
Let us have a look at environmental pollution in detail below:
- Air pollution: Air pollution is the emission of pollutants, chemicals and gasses in the atmosphere.
- Noise pollution: Noise pollution off course includes the noise created by human activities, public and private transport such as aircrafts, etc.
- Water pollution: Water pollution is caused due to the discharge of waste water from industrial, domestic and commercial waste in the surface water.
- Soil pollution: Soil pollution is caused by the release of chemicals due to industrial, agricultural and other activities of living beings.
The environmental pollution directly affects the health of human beings as we breathe, eat, drink and live in this environment. Thus, human beings need to restrict the activities that cause pollution and damage our environment.
A semester ended after I took the final exam of term 1 yesterday. During the past three months, I studied very hard and seriously. In class, I always listen attentively to the teacher's lecture. At home, I always do my homework properly and carefully. When there are difficult or unclear lessons, I will ask an adult to explain them to me. Thanks to that, I have had good achievements, much improved compared to grade 2. Especially in English. Now, I can read and write very well, many times praised by her. This subject has now become my favorite subject. However, I will not stop there. In the second semester, I will try harder, to achieve more and better results.

When we start our studies, all of us already have different kinds of study skills. Our motivation springs from different sources, as does our general attitude to our studies. Nevertheless, regardless of where we are coming from, we need to take many things into consideration in our studies. Study success requires clear objectives, motivation, planning, self discipline, self confidence, good study habits and a positive attitude. Being physically fit is also helpful. Now that’s quite a list!
It is relevant here to ask if motivation and the ability to make plans and set objectives are inborn traits? And what about good reading and study habits, a positive attitude and physical fitness? How self confident were we when we were born? Indeed, we must assume that we are not born with the above. These are not inborn traits; we have learned and developed them and many others through the course of our lives. (Ringom 1994.)
As a student, you are given an excellent opportunity to develop not just your study skills, but also many other skills useful in life. These skills will help you to succeed in challenging tasks after graduation.
We hope that the following pages will help you to reflect upon your own study skills and habits. The discussion proceeds on a rather general level. Should some topics raise your interest, however, we encourage you to dig deeper, for example by familiarising yourself with the reference literature provided at the end of this guide. You can also find lots of study tips on the net

Of all my friends, Hanh and Mai are my best friends. We are at the same class at the primary school and secondary school. We are also neighbors, so we spend most of our time studying and talking together. Hanh is a beautiful girl with black eyes and an oval face. She is an intelligent student who is always at the top of the class. She likes reading and going to the library whenever she has free time. Mai isn’t as beautiful as Hanh but she has a lovely smile and a good appearance. Mai is very sporty. She spends most of her free time playing sports. Mai is a volleyball star of our school. She is also very sociable and has a good sense of humor. Her jokes always make us laugh. I love both of my friends and I always hope our friendship will last forever.
