The monkey buffet festival is a celebration that takes place in Thailand and it´s held every November 25th. The local peoples believe that monkey´s bring good fortune to the visitors. It has been held done since 1989, and it main public are the tourist from different parts, which offers proximally 4000 kilograms of food and drinks every year. It has also representative music and dances and different activities throw-out the day with young people dress like monkeys, as a shown of thanks because of they great value. As well it has become a very important colorful tradition to the Thailand people because the meaning of the monkeys, and the worth goals. (Alexandra) The monkey feast is the ingenious concept of a hotelier, Yongyuth Kitwattananusont, who first feted the monkeys in 1989. Now, with the sponsorship of Thailand’s Tourism Authority, his spectacle attracts thousands of tourists. Yongyuth attempts to outdo himself each year. He once stuffed himself into a monkey suit and arrived via parachute. The November of 1999, he promises to up last year’s offering: 4,000 kilograms of food. A longstanding second-tier tourist draw, Lop Buri is the site of 10th-century Hindu temples built by a Khmer dynasty. The main temple, strongly resembling the architecture of Cambodia’s Angkor Wat, is headquarters for the macaques. (Sebastian) As the name of the festival itself indicates, this is a festival where the monkeys along with the food are the protagonists. In Thailand, there is the belief that King Rama gave a piece of land known as Lopburi to Hanuman who was the Monkey King. For that reason, nearly 2000 monkeys each year receive thousands of pounds of food (like fruits and desserts) in a big table where public enjoy seeing them. People from Thailand also believe, thanks to their history, that monkeys bring good fortune so this is also made in their honor. Besides of being a local celebration, the monkeys attract a lot of tourists and the country receives benefits with the visits. In the monkey buffet you can watch the monkeys drink coke directly from the can. In the past years the monkeys have consumed over four tons of food, not many people are agree with the type of diet that this monkeys have on this event, but what it is a fact is that this animals certainly enjoy their annual special meal. Monkey Buffet Festival is a festival of people in Lopburi province, Thailand. True to its name this is a festival held exclusively for monkeys. Every year, the Monkey Buffet Festival is held in the ancient Khmer temple of Phra Prang Sam Yot in November with the purpose of expressing gratitude and tribute to the hero Rama, while protecting the interests of Monkeys have brought tourism potential to this place.

The festival is preceded by the performance of monkeys on colorful tables with countless candies, fruits and soft drinks. There are more than 600 monkeys dancing on the welcome tables as a display to welcome visitors to this place.

In addition to the extremely unique and unique Monkey Buffet Festival, Thailand has many unique festivals that are welcoming you and your family this summer.

Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

Vietnam is famous for its several holiday and festival, especially Tet holiday. It takes place from the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar until at least the third day. Although occurring in short period of time, it is believed to be the most important and popular holiday in Vietnam. There are many special food are made so as to prepare for Tet meal such as: sticky square cake, Vietnamese sausage, sticky rice and jam. The food is thought to reflect Vietnam’s habit and custom as well as Vietnamese’s lifestyle. Besides, the meal has other dishes like fish, vegetable to show the hope for a successful and prosperous new year. In term of customs, children’s receiving red envelop from the elder, visiting relative’s houses and going to church are popular activities. Giving lucky money is thought to bring children hope and health. Church is the symbol of peace; therefore, individual go there and pray for successive year. Traditionally, the house is designed with peach flower in the North and Ochna integerrima in the south part of Vietnam. Besides, the house as well as town are clear, decorative and beautiful as all are ready to start a new year. People have cozy atmosphere and enjoy joyful time with their family’s members. It’s high time for people living at different parts of country gathering and spending time together. Tet is a chance for one to come back home after many stress and pressure of studying and working environment. Tet is not simply a holiday, it is culture and habit of Vietnamese since its deep meaning is sacred and important. All in all, Tet includes not only joy but also long-standing event in people’s soul as it helps one grow up through experience.

I used to attend the Tet Holiday Flower festival. It’s called Nguyen Hue Flower street Festival. It is held in Nguyen Hue Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. It takes place every Tet Holiday for 1 week. It is celebrated by Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. They display and decorate the street with many kinds of flowers and lights. Many people come there to enjoy the beautiful flowers and take pictures.

Ky Cung – Ta Phu temple is one of the biggest festivals in Lang Son province. It annually takes place on the 22nd through 27th day of the first Lunar month. This festival is held to pay our respects to Than Cong Tai, a head of district who had merit of opening Ky Lua Market to trade with Chinese from the 17th century.

The parade route runs from Ky Cung temple to Ta Phu temple. Local people dressed in colorful and traditional clothes paraded around the city. People go to temples to pray for a better health and a happy life.

Almost families along the streets celebrate big parties and invite guests to have lunch together. Every house also makes offerings, especially a roasted big pig. There are many folk games. The festival attracts many visitors even foreign tourists. This is one of the biggest and most important festivals in Langson.

The buffalo grapple festival is a traditional festival in a few places in Vietnam, but most famous in Do Son in Hai Phong place on August 9th lunar month every year. This festival shows martial spirit of our nation, represents the strength of the Vietnamese people. Two buffalo use two horns of the of thier healthy to fight the enemy. They call them is Mr.Buffalo.  My hometown is Bac Ninh, where there is recognized intangible cultural heritage that is the folk song of them. Every year, on January 13, Lim festival is held in Tien Du, Bac Ninh. While the festival is going on, there's a lot of activity. Like other festivals, the Lim festival is divided into ceremonies and festivals. The ceremony is organized with traditional rituals such as worshiping and rituals. The new part of the association is the part that tourists expect. On the lake, there will be brothers and sisters on the dragon boat singing mandarins. The melodies of the charm are so smooth and clear, they are so beautiful. Many people stood on the shore cheering and taking pictures. While the festival took place, there were also many games such as cockfighting, wrestling, throwing ... Visitors who come here can also buy or rent their costumes to take pictures or buy a lot of beautiful souvenirs. Hoi Lim not only brings human value but also great economic value for Bac Ninh province.
