International Kite Festival in Vung Tau
Vung tau has become s familiar tourist destination to make people..because...it has its own beautiful beaches and mountains. ..Moreover... , Vung tau even has more to offer. International Kite Festival in Vung Tau, first held in 2009, is the biggest kite festival in vietnam. ..Although..the festival is still new, it has attracted kite artisans all ground the world such as France, Australia, the UK, US, Cambodia, Malaysia, the Philippines,etc.
The festival may take place in various tourist sites, ..but.. the events are in the same order. ..When.. you come to Vung Tau during the first days of summer, you can enjoy the colourful sky with kites from skillful hands of artisans around the world. ....While.. kites from other countries are in different styles, viet nam showed up kites of hue royal style in shape of a phoenix or a dragon. In 2009, the clubs from hue had tradition...and...most diversified kites,...so.. they were awarded special prizes.

Last week, our family had chance to visit the land of two Kings( hometown of Phung Hung and Ngo Quyen king)- Duong Lam ancient village. On the west of Ha Noi, it took us about an hour to travel from the capital to this place by car. When coming to Duong Lam, we were immensely impressed by the fact that it has preserved the color of time with enigmatic world. through ups & downs,Duong Lam has sustained its ancient houses and the architectural features of a typical old vietnamese village with village gate, banyan tree and lotus pond. there has been up to 956 traditional houses that dates from the 16th century and geographycally scatters in Dong Sang, Mong Phu and Cam Thinh village,etc. Striking charateristics reflect in wooden houses together with blocks of laterite, located inside the village paved roads. Moreover, Duong Lam is very famous for its soybean sauce with the high quality as only a few places in Viet Nam. It was a great trip we have ever had when we could enjoy the peaceful life, fresh air as well as beatiful landscapes and share the hospitability of the locals. After the trip, I think I prefer village life to a bustle life in the city.

Le Van Thiem - the founder of contemporary mathematics in Viet Nam
Le van Thiem was born in 1918 in Ha Tinh, Viet Nam , in an intellectual family. He was the (young) youngest of 13 brothers and sisters. He was the first Vietnamese to earn a "modern" doctoral degree.
