1. The simple present tense: (Thì hiện tại đơn)

2. The present progressive tense (Thì Hiện tại tiếp diễn)

Ex: She is watching TV at the moment.
I ..am studying..( study)English now.
· Thường có các trạng từ ở cuối câu: Now, at present, at the moment, right now, at this time …và Look!, Listen!, Be careful!, Be quite!, …..ở đầu câu.
3. The simple future tense (Thì tương lai đơn)
(+) S + will/ shall + V-inf + O +M
(-) S + won’t/ shan’t + V-inf +O+M
(?) Will/ Shall + S + V-inf +O+M?.
Yes, S + will/ shall. No, S + won’t/ shan’t.
Ex: I will visit Ha Noi next week.
- Thường có các trạng từ: soon, tomorrow, tonight, next week / month / year … one day, …
4. (so sánh của tính từ)
* (so sánh hơn)
1. Short adj: S1 + tobe + Adj- er + than + S2
Ex: She is shorter than he.
2. Long adj: S1 +tobe + more + Adj+ than + S2
Ex: Nga is more beautiful than Mai.
* Tính từ ngắn là tính từ có 1 âm tiết
Tính từ dài là tính từ có 2 âm tiết trở lên( Trừ tính từ có 2 âm tiết mà tận cùng là y,ow thì là tính từ ngắn)
Ex: happy-> happier-> the happiest
Ex: narrow-> narrower-> the narrowest

Bad-> worse-> the worst

6. Hỏi và trả lời về khoảng cách:

7. Hỏi và trả lời về phương tiện:
How + do/ does + S + V (bare – inf)...?.
S + V +... + by + phương tiện/ (on foot)
8. Hỏi và trả lời về nơi chốn:
Where + do/ does + S + V (bare – inf)...?.
S + V +...+ nơi chốn.
9. Hỏi và trả lời về lý do:
Why + do/ does + S + V (bare – inf)...?.
S + V(s,es) +... because + S + V(s,es) + lý do.

Number + sing. N = Compound adjective.

21. Comparison of Nouns (so sánh của danh từ)
· So sánh nhiều hơn của danh từ đếm được: S1+ V(s/es) + more + Ns + than + S2
· So sánh nhiều hơn của danh từ không đếm được: S +V(s/es) + more + uncount.N+ than+S2
· So sánh ít hơn của danh từ đếm được:S + V(s/es) + fewer + N s + than + S2
· So sánh ít hơn của danh từ không đếm được: S + V(s/es) + less + N + than + S2.
Ex: He works 72 hours a week. His wife works 56 hours a week.
