Dalat Flower Festival is a cultural festival which takes place every year in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province , Vietnam and some other localities in Lam Dong province. The festival is held with the purpose of exhibiting flowers, vegetables and ornamental plants from the local as well as other regions within the country and many other countries in the world in order to attract visitors to come to Da Lat, promote economic development of the city. Da Lat Flower Festival is also an activity honoring the value of flowers and floriculture, calling for investment in Da Lat flower industry as well as promoting a positive image of the city, the culture and the people of Da Lat.

Lễ hội đua thuyền là một lễ hội đặc trưng mang hồn cốt dân tộc Việt Nam. Em đã có lần được xem lễ hội đua thuyền vô cùng đặc sắc. Lễ hội được tổ chức trong khuôn viên có một chiếc hồ lớn phù hợp để diễn ra. Những chiếc thuyền rồng bằng gỗ được điêu khắc tinh xảo và sơn màu rực rỡ. Có chiếc màu vàng, có chiếc màu dỏ, có chiế claij màu xanh, tùy vào sở thích của mỗi đội. Những người điều khiển thuyền cũng mặc những bộ quần áo đặc trưng và vô cùng rực rỡ. Khi người phất cờ báo tín hiệu các đội bắt đầu cuộc đua. Thì những cánh tay khỏe mạnh bắt đầu gồn lên để chèo lái chiếc thuyền về phía trước. Thoăn thoắt, những chiếc thuyền lao lên phía trước. Cuộc đua diễn ra vô cùng gay cấn vì các đội vô cùng ngang sức ngang tài. Nhưng cuối cùng cũng có đội nhỉnh hơn và dành chiến thắng. Sau đó, tất cả đều nở nụ cười vì đây chỉ là cuộc chơi và họ đã cố gắng hết mình. Đua thuyền là cần tinh thần đồng đội cao, nỗ lực của tất cả mọi người. Lễ hội đua thuyền không chỉ mang tính giải trí mà nó còn mang giá trị nhân văn và dạy dỗ sâu sắc cho mỗi chúng ta.

Mùa xuân về với những cơn mưa phùn nhè nhẹ, với những tia nắng mới ấm áp, với bao cánh đào, cánh mai bung xòe rực rỡ và với không khí lễ hội tưng bừng khắp mọi nẻo đất nước. Năm nay, thủ đô Hà Nội tổ chức lễ hội đua thuyền ở Hồ Tây.
Lễ hội diễn ra vào ngày mùng 9 tháng Giêng Âm lịch, nhằm tạo không khí xuân vui tươi và nâng cao tinh thần đoàn kết cộng đồng. Lễ khai mạc diễn ra với nhiều tiết mục nghệ thuật đặc sắc và tiếng trống khai xuân rộn vang. Trên sông, hai mươi bảy chiếc chiếc thuyền rồng được trang trí những viền vàng đỏ hoặc vàng xanh xen kẽ rực rỡ. Họ còn cắm lá cờ bảy sắc ở đuôi thuyền. Mỗi thuyền mặc một bộ đồng phục khác nhau và khoác chiếc áo phao màu cam bên ngoài. Những người tham gia đua tươi cười, sẵn sàng tham gia cuộc đua. Khi tiếng trống vang lên ra hiệu cuộc đua bắt đầu, những người đua thuyền vung tay chèo lái. Mái chèo quẫy tung mặt nước. Ven hồ, những khán giả hò reo cổ vũ. Những hàng liễu, hàng hoa sữa hay bằng lăng ở đó cũng ngả mình theo gió như biết trận đua đang diễn ra tưng bừng. Gió trên hồ khá lớn, làm lá cờ tung bay phấp phới. Những hồi trống vang lên không dứt để tiếp thêm sức mạnh cho các đội người đua thuyền. Mọi người hò hét chúc mừng đội đua đã vô địch.
Em cảm thấy lễ hội đua thuyền hôm đó rất vui, hào hứng và cuồng nhiệt. Quả thực, lễ hội truyền thống luôn để lại cho thế hệ chúng em những hiểu biết quý báu. Em hi vọng mùa xuân năm sau sẽ lại được xem lễ hội này

Hung King’s Festival is one of the the greatest national festivals in Vietnam. It is held each year from the 8th to the 11th days of the third lunar month in honour of the Hùng Kings and their role in shaping the nation.. Like other festivals in the northern part of Viet Nam, this festival includes two parts: the incense-offering ceremony and the recreational activities. Additional festivities include music, rice cooking competitions and dragon dancing. Food also plays an essential role in the customs taking place during Hung King’s Festival because it is a symbolic sacrificial offering to the Hung Kings. People bring traditional dishes such as banh giay (crushed sticky rice pudding), and banh chung (sticky rice cake). In conclusion, the festival has become a symbol of the strength of national unity, one connection between past and present.

Buffalo fighting is a unique and traditional festival of people in Do Son District, Haiphong City. This festival is not only associated with Water Goddess worshiping and sacrificing custom but also expressed bravery, chivalry, and risk-taking spirit of people in the coastal city of Haiphong. The festival is annually and officially operated on the 9th day of the 8th month in Vietnamese Lunar Calendar; however, its preparation takes participants nearly a year to process. From choosing the right buffaloes to buy, raising and training them—all of which require hard work and ongoing effort. For example, selection of fighting buffaloes only must be in great meticulosity as they must meet a wide range of requirements: at least 4 or 5 years old, wide chest, bow-shape horns, toned thighs, and long tail. Also, these buffaloes are kept separately from normal ones, and so on. The festival derives from the belief of Do Son’s locals that buffalo fighting is in favor of their guardian gods and hence a continuity of this activity brings them safe voyages, abundant crops as well as healthy and wealthy people—signs of prosperity and happiness.
