In my opinion Television is a breakthrough invention of human, however, it has both advantages and drawbacks. First, take a look at its benefits. TV is a huge source of information with a wide variety news and instruction channels. You now can learn through TV and update news about what is happening in the world. Television also provides a huge knowledge of many fields including natural science, social science,… Besides, Television is a common type of entertainment thanks to a wide range of music TV programs, cartoons, reality shows or funny programs. On the other hand, television has some outstanding disadvantages. In fact, many people become addicted to Television and turn it on all day. Especially to children, they don’t want to go out to play with friends or focus on study. They just stick their eyes to the screen without wanting to leave. Some programs even contain violent and criminal content, which influence negatively on children. Also, spending hours watching TV is harmful to your eyesight and wasting your time. With that amount of time, you can do something more beneficial such as playing sports, doing physical exercises or learning new skills. In summary, nowadays, television is indispensable and its benefits outweigh its drawbacks.
There are 4 people in my family. They are my parents, me and my younger brother.My father likes playing sports. He plays sports every weekends. My mother likes doing morning exercise but she hates playing sports. She doing exercise every morning, even in the winter. My younger brother enjoys watching TV and playing badminton. He watches TV everyday but he plays badminton twice a week. I love reading book, watching TV and listening to music. I do that activities everyday. The hobbies of my family member are really fun and interesting.

My hobbies are listening to music, watching films and traveling. I love many kinds of music; especially, when I fill myself with sorrow, I love the songs which can share my sadness. I also like watching some US sitcoms such as: How I met your mother, Once upon a time, Sabrina is the thing I enjoy in my leisure time. Lunar New Year festival, also known as Tet, is the biggest traditional festival in my country, Viet Nam. Tet is usually from the end of January to early February. Before Tet, Vietnamese people prepare many things, we always want everything to be perfect for the new year. In particularly, we clean the house and decorate it with flowers and trees such as kumquat tree, peach blossom,… In addition, a huge amount of food will be bought before Tet for making traditional dishes like Banh Chung, Banh Tet, Gio cha,… During Tet, we visit our relatives and give them wishes. Traditionally, elders will give lucky money to children and the oldest people in the family. However, nowadays, we can give it to anyone including friends, parents, neighbors. Besides, Vietnamese usually go to pagodas or temples to pray for health, wealth, success. All in all, Tet is all about going back to origins, being good to others, enjoying the precious moment, and wishing for the best to come.
In my daily life, I have some hobbies such as traveling, cooking, listening to music, etc. However, I enjoy reading books most. To me, books are always a good friend. Firstly, reading books makes me feel relaxed after many long stressful hours at school. I really like comic books because they contain many colorful and interesting images that keep my spirit relaxed. Secondly, reading books is a good way to improve my vocabulary and grammar. For example, reading books tells me about the world’s history, lets me see the structure of the human body, or brings me a story of Harry Potter. In conclusion, I think reading is one of the most interesting indoor activities.
