My house is located in a small quiet alley. That’s a pretty pink house which consists of 6 rooms in totally: a living room, a kitchen, a toilet, a bathroom and two bedrooms. There are a white leather sofa, a television and a sideboard in the living room. After dinner, my father will turn on the television, choose a great movie and we watch it happily. Next to the living room is the kitchen where is used for cooking and enjoying the meals. In the middle of the room is a dinner table which is made from wood. Three cookers, a refrigerator and all the neccesary stuff for cooking is arranged carefully in the right corner of the room. In the left of the kitchen is a clean toilet. Beside the toilet is the bathroom which is equipped a shower and a bathtub. There are only two rooms upstairs that is my parents’ room and my private room. I’ve decorated my bedroom with adorable wallpaper and many lovely stuffed animals. A single bed is placed next to the window so that I can stargaze before falling asleep. In the opposite of the bed are my desk and my bookshelf that contain many kinds of book. There are also an old television and a piano in my bedroom. I especially love the piano because that was the gift from dad in my birthday. In every Christmas or Tet holiday, all member of my family ornament the house together and then gather in the kitchen to cooking. Although my house is not too big but to me that is the most beautiful house in the world.

This is my house. The house is modern and large. The livingroom has TV, pictures, sofa,.... We often watch TV in the livingroom. The kitchen has rice cooker, pan, bowl, plate,..... My mother cooks delicious food for my family. I like bedroom. The bedroom has all the necessary belongthings. I love my house.

Halloween is coming, all around the world are excited and eager to prepare for this unique festival. But, you know the origin of Halloween and the symbol of this ceremony is the pumpkin. Let me tell you the story.
Pumpkin - The symbol of Halloween can be decorated in many shapes.
Legend has it that Jack is a stingy guy, drunk and cheating on people, including the devil. One day, Jack cheated that he would supply the soul and exchange for alcohol. Jack said, and he found that he had nothing to lose and listened to him and jumped on the tree for the cunning apples. , Jack of the branches and the devil can not go down again.Just Jack made the promise to not get his soul when he died, after the promise of a new Jack then remove the barrier and demons down.

"Tôi sẽ đi, nhưng trước khi đi, bạn sẽ hái cho tôi một quả táo được chứ?” Jack nói. Quỷ thấy mình chẳng có gì để mất nên nghe theo và nhảy lên cây lấy táo cho chàng xảo quyệt. Ngay lập tức, Jack rào các cành cây lại và quỷ không thể xuống được nữa. Jack bắt quỷ phải hứa không được lấy linh hồn của mình khi anh ta chết. Sau khi quỷ hứa như vậy thì Jack mới tháo các rào ra và cho quỷ xuống.
Nhiều năm sau khi Jack qua đời. Anh ta đến cổng thiên đàng và thánh Peter nói rằng anh ta quá ích kỉ và quá tàn bạo nên phải chịu một cuộc sống đau khổ và vô nghĩa trên trần gian. Jack không được phép lên thiên đàng. Anh ta phải xuống địa ngục và đi gặp quỷ thần. Nhưng quỷ thần đã giữ lời hứa không giữ linh hồn của anh. Jack rất sợ khi chẳng còn nơi nào để đi và phải chịu lang thang suốt kiếp trong bóng đen giữa thiên đàng và địa ngục. Anh hỏi quỷ làm thế nào để đi được trong đêm tối như thế. Quỷ ném cho Jack một cục than hồng từ những lò lửa trong địa ngục để cho anh ta chút ánh sáng. Jack cho cục than vào một củ cải - loại thực phẩm anh rất thích và luôn mang theo bên mình. Anh khoét củ cải để ánh sáng thoát ra và từ đó, Jack xảo trá lang thang khắp nơi trên trần gian, không có chốn nghỉ. Anh ta dùng chiếc đèn lồng mà mọi người gọi là Jack O’Lantearn để soi đường đi.
Tập tục khoét các củ cải, khoai tây và quả bí rồi cho nến hay đèn thắp sáng bên trong để xua đuổi các hồn ma và hồn của Jack bắt nguồn từ đất nước Ailen. Khi người Ailen di cư đến Mỹ họ phát hiện ra bí ngô to hơn và dễ khoét hơn nên dùng thay thế cho củ cải. Vậy là đèn bí ngô Jack O’Lantern trở nên phổ biến ở Mỹ vào lễ Halloween hàng năm và trở thành biểu tượng của lễ hội này.

Learn about Death - Messenger of death
Deaths are not rulers of hell like Hades or Pluto, Deaths are usually messengers who send souls into the realm of the dead. If people want to accept death more lightly, why is the image of Death not beautiful, friendly?
What is death?
According to biologists, any creature, whether plant or animal, must die. We also understand that anything has its beginning and end. However, human knowledge is still unable to provide a perfect answer to the questions of death. Speaking of death, many of us can relate to the image of a bony, cold face hidden behind a black robe with a sharp tongue in his hand.
When a person's life is about to end, death will come to him, patiently waiting. And when the time comes, the sharp blade will cut off the soul from the body and send the soul of the dead to the other. Why is the image of death present in the world? Why is death in the eyes of humanity today cold, cruel? Why does Death look as it is today?
Let's go find answers to these questions.
1. Origin
In some religions, human beings are born perfectly, immortal as gods but then punished and lose their immortality. One of the examples can be found in the Book of Genesis, the story of the first humans: Adam and Eve. In some other cultures, people are described as mundane and are trying to find immortality but fail. The Gilgamesh epic recounts such a story. Gilgamesh is the son of a goddess and a human king, however, like other goddesses, he is not inherited from immortality from his mother. Gilgamesh on his way to find his immortality met Utnapishtim - a divine being who gives his life eternal. Utnapishtim promised to give Gilgamesh immortality like his if Gilgamesh could stay awake for a week in a row. Despite this failure, Gilgamesh still receives the reward of being a tree that can turn her master young. On the way back home, a hungry snake has lost that miraculous tree, Gilgamesh forever lost the opportunity to become immortal.
In the legend of the Mesopotami, the hero Gilgamesh returned home and accepted the life of a mortal. However, people in normal life do not want to do so. The hunger of death on each person's head, the notion of death will come someday not a good idea. People still dream of an eternal life, no pain, no death.
As in a previous article, we have seen what people do to deal with death. It is not only fleeing or fighting death, it also redefines death, making it a more pleasant concept than mere dissolution. Death is a concept developed by human beings to materialize death, to make death soothing.
2. Original images of Death

In my daily life, I have several hobbies such as cooking, surfing, listening to music and so on. However, I like reading books the most for some reasons. Firstly, reading makes me feel comfortable after many long stressful hours at school. I actually like comic books because they contain lots of colorful and interesting images that keep my spirit relax. Secondly, reading books provides me a great deal of diverse knowledge of many fields. For instance, I can know more specific culture of each country in The World’s Cultures book. In addition, I can know more things about different life of various animals that are living around the world in the Discovery of Animals World book. Finally, reading helps to enhance my vocabulary in both Vietnamese and English language. In Vietnamese book, I can learn many traditional folks or proverbs that help me understand more deeply the beauty of my mother tongue. About English books, I can improve my English reading comprehension skill in study. Besides, my communication skill with the foreigners will be better, too. In conclusion, I really like reading books, for it brings many good things to me. I see it as an useful activity to learn how to make life more meaningful and beautiful.

People say that book is the endless source of knowledge, and luckily my favorite activity in my free time is reading books. I read many different kinds of books, such as science fiction, documentary, and horror stories. I live in two different worlds, the first one is my daily life, and the second one in is in the books. I can spend hours reading about a thrilling adventure, a remarkable discovery, or a magical journey. I find those details become more and more realistic when I am deep in to them, and I can experience another fascinating world. Among many books that I have read, my favorite series is Harry Potter. The story is about a little wizard with his great journey to destroy the dark force. I have been reading books since I was a kid; therefore I have a rich imagination and plenty of ideas about almost everything. Everyone has his or her own hobby, and I am glad that I spend my free time and my mind on something that is very helpful.
