Books are endless knowledge of mankind. Readers are those who go to the bottom of the treasure. Therefore, reading each one is very necessary. The role of reading to acquire knowledge as well as improving oneself is increasingly necessary and cultivated.
There are many definitions of books, each one has a way of understanding, a separate view of books. However, it can be briefly described as knowledge where people can learn, exchange experiences, cultivate and train themselves. Dear Mai,
I’m very pleased that we’re going to be pen pals. I’ll tell you a little about myself, and you can do the same when you write to me.
I live in an area of London called Maida Vale. It’s quite near the center, but there are parks nearby where I often take my dog, Mickey, for a walk. I live with my parents and my younger brother, Paul. My father works for the post office and my mother has a part-time job as a nurse.
I go to the local comprehensive school, where I have a lot of friends. I like most subjects, but not all of them! In the evening I sometimes visit friends or stay at home and listen to music, and at the weekends I like going swimming or horse-riding.
At the moment I’m working very hard because I have exams soon, so I’m spending a lot of time in the library!
I’m looking forward to hearing from you. Write soon!
Best wishes,
Mary

It is great to have pen pals. In my opinion, friendship is among the meaningful relations in our life. Many of my friends have pen pals and they correspond regularly. A friend of mine once got a letter from the school mailbox and told me a lot of interesting things about her pen pal. That made me excited and I was eager to have one. Therefore, I got online and did some chatting. I was lucky to get to know a very nice Australian girl. Her name's Jenny. She and I are the same age and we have a lot of things in common.
Although my English was not very good at first, we were able to understand each other quite well. My English has improved a lot. Jenny has never been to Viet Nam. However, she thinks well of our country and our people. When she comes to Viet Nam, I will take her to some interesting places, especially our World Heritage Sites, such as Ha Long Bay, Hoi An Ancient Town, My- Son Tower. Through her mail, she tells me about her country. Thanks to Jenny, I know more and more about Australia. I hope to be an exchange student in Australia some day and we will be able to meet.
