Volunteer is one of Vietnam’s long-standing activities contributing effectively to community development, capacity building and poverty reduction. Volunteer activities are taking place vibrantly with every passing day, not only do they bring positive results from specific volunteer programs but they also conduce to generate and raise awareness for a large number of people in Vietnam.
Tình nguyện viên là một trong những hoạt động lâu đời của Việt Nam đóng góp tích cực cho phát triển cộng đồng, xây dựng nguồn nhân lực và giảm nghèo. Các hoạt động tình nguyện diễn ra sôi động vào mỗi ngày trôi qua, không chỉ đem lại những kết quả tích cực từ các chương trình tình nguyện cụ thể mà còn góp phần tạo ra và nâng cao nhận thức cho nhiều người ở Việt Nam.

The key point of volunteer activities is a part of a global effort to ensure that every child has access to a quality education – it’s a direct route out of poverty. In addition, the activities will be the main distributor of connecting the people, improving the living standard, and helping the poor around countries.
Điểm mấu chốt của các hoạt động tình nguyện là nằm trong một phần của nỗ lực toàn cầu để đảm bảo rằng mọi trẻ em đều được hưởng một nền giáo dục có chất lượng – đó là một con đường để thoát nghèo. Ngoài ra, các hoạt động này sẽ là tác nhân chính kết nối mọi người, nâng cao mức sống và giúp đỡ người nghèo xung quanh các quốc gia.

However, the volunteer activities of Vietnam are very diverse in both content and form. In fact, these volunteer activities remain separate and spontaneous; information on volunteer activities is not accessible with majority seeking information about specific volunteer programs that interest them due to the lack of coordinating network among volunteer clubs and organizations.
Tuy nhiên, hoạt động tình nguyện của Việt Nam rất đa dạng về nội dung và hình thức. Nhưng, trên thực tế, các hoạt động tình nguyện này vẫn riêng biệt và tự phát. Thông tin về các hoạt động tình nguyện thường không được cập nhật để tiếp cận với đa số những người cần tìm kiếm thông tin về các chương trình tình nguyện cụ thể mà họ quan tâm, mà nguyên do chính là thiếu sự phối hợp giữa các câu lạc bộ và tổ chức tình nguyện.

With a tradition of solidarity and compassion, all Vietnamese people profoundly understand that, to rise from a low starting point, each individual has to make every effort to promote internal strength by volunteering to help the needy and contribute to the development of communities and country.
Với truyền thống đoàn kết và hòa hảo, tất cả mọi người Việt Nam hiểu sâu sắc rằng, từ điểm xuất chưa cao, mỗi cá nhân phải nỗ lực hết mình để phát huy nội lực bằng cách tình nguyện giúp đỡ người nghèo và đóng góp vào sự phát triển của cộng đồng và đất nước.
