Left, theo định nghĩa thì leave a message có nghĩa là để lại thông tin/lời nhắn cho ai đó khi bạn không thể gặp/nói chuyện trực tiếp với họ được (ờm bạn có thể xem vế trước là Nga went out yesterday ~ context của câu tựa vậy á). Ngược lại, send a message (có vẻ là có trường hợp gửi tin nhắn nữa, hoặc dịch word by word) chủ yếu được dùng kiểu gửi tín hiệu (signal) nhưng chủ yếu để thể hiện thái độ của mình về một điều gì đó hơn. Bạn có thể xem thêm từ điển có ví dụ để hiểu hơn:

Ngược lại, send a message chủ yếu được dùng kiểu gửi tín hiệu (signal) để thể hiện thái độ của mình về một điều gì đó hơn, ví dụ như trong Cambridge là:
