Science and technology has become a debated topic in the society. On one hand, it is necessary for the modern life where other countries are continuously developing in the field of science and technology. It becomes very necessary for other countries too to grow in the same way to be strong and well developed other countries for the future safety and security. It is science and technology which helps other weak countries to develop and be strong. We have to take support of science and technology forever to improve the way of life for the betterment of mankind. If we do not take the help of technologies such as computer, internet, electricity, etc we cannot be economically strong in the future and would be backward forever even we cannot survive in such a competitive and technological world.
Advancement in the field of medical, agriculture, education, economy, sports, games, jobs, tourism, etc are the examples of science and technology. All such advancements show us that how both are equally beneficial for our life. We can see a clear difference in our life style while matching the ancient and modern way of life. High level of scientific and technological advancement in the field of medicine has made easy the treatment of various lethal diseases which was earlier not possible. It has helped a lot to the doctors to find effective ways to cure diseases through medicine or operations as well as research vaccines to cure diseases such as cancer, AIDS, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Leukemia, etc.

The vast improvements made in the field of medicine have served to lengthen our life expectancy and to reduce the rate of infant mortality. The discovery of mechanization, better seeds, better techniques of irrigation and pest control, has worked to increase productivity levels on farms. In transportation, railway, modern ocean liner, jet plane, and motor vehicle have made our lives more comfortable and provided great possibilities for modern commercial development and industrialization. The invention of the computer has assisted the process of calculation in laboratories Technology has made communication much simpler in recent times. Science has brought about groundbreaking solutions to numerous deadly diseases. Man is able to explore the space extensively because of the wide-scale development in technology. Our life has become healthier and longer. Modern hygiene, sanitation, medicine and surgery are conquering more and more physical and mental ills day by day. We now know and experience the joys of good health and longevity. Disadvantages of Science and TechnologyMachines have led to unemployment. They have polluted water and atmosphere. They have caused noise pollution. Factories have led to slums where human beings live in squalor. Our moral and spiritual progress has failed to keep pace with our scientific progress. We have allowed science to master us instead of using it as our servant. Machines make us mechanical, deaden our sensibilities, stifle our creative talents, force mechanical regularity, uniformity and boredom upon us, increase our wants and desires, and tend to make us selfish, greedy and cruel. Geographical distance has, no doubt, vanished, but the gulf between the minds and hearts of man has widened. Machines have given man leisure, but man misuses it to get cheap and vulgar entertainment which destroys his physical and mental health.Again, science has put in our hand’s such fiendish weapons as a nuclear bomb, the guided missile and means of chemical and biological warfare.

With fast growth of civilization there is also an ever mounting need for energy. Energy may be in the form of fuels or electricity. Petrol is a liquid fuel which is used widely nowadays. But this kind of fuels is likely to be exhausted at the rate man is using it recently.
To meet the challenge, various methods have been suggested. One is to minimize the man’s demand in using the energy. Non-essential consumption should be minimized. During certain days of the year, people all over the world turn off the electricity for 1 hour to save the energy. Modern gadgets consuming energy should only be used when they are absolutely necessary.
Energy conservation is possible through modernization of plant and equipment. People should replace the obsolete equipment by the modern ones.
Energy can be saved on transport by the following methods. People should commute by the rail rather than by cars and vans. The transport must be improved with a view to sparing the energy. Cities must be planned in such a way that the commuting distance from this place to others is minimized.
In industry, many things could be done to reduce waste of energy or to economize energy. The machine maintenance needs to be tightened; heater must be utilized properly. When systems are streamlined, economy in fuel is obvious. Instead of using materials requiring higher energy, those which require lower energy should be used.

Like any other type of power, nuclear power has ít own disadvantages. Nuclear power plants discharge radioactive waste during operation. If a nuclear explosion happens, the aftermath will be very serious. The radioactive subtance will absorb into water and land in a large area. It takes a long time and a lot of money to build a nuclear power plant and it also takes a long time. In my opinion, human should exploit safe types of power like solar power, wind power and tidal power to avoid dependence on this dangerous type of power

Bat Trang Porcelain Village is a traditional pottery-making village, which is located in the Northern of the Red River, Bat Trang town, Gia Lam district, Ha Noi. The pottery here is made of a special kind of clay – the white clay.
The craftsmen only use their hands to knead the clay into the shape of the bowl, flower vase, etc. Then, they draw lively pictures or patterns on the products and glaze them. After that, these kneaded-clays will be put into the kiln for heating.
