When we finished our exams, my friends and I from university all decided to go on holiday together. Our friend Jenny nearly backed out because she couldn't really afford it so we 1……….. lending her the money. At first, she refused but we explained to her that we might never have this opportunity again. We wanted a resort that had 2……….. of nightlife and nice beaches. We had all studied really hard all year and so we wanted to have some fun. We chose a self-catering holiday because it was cheaper. The eight of us flew out on the Monday morning after spending the previous night 3……………. our bags and getting really excited. From the moment we arrived, we had a great time. We 4…………. all day on the beach and all night in the many cafés 5…………. the area, meeting people from all over the world. By the time we came home, we had made lots of new friends. I think it was one of the best holidays of my life.
