The line chart above illustrates the changing trend of urban and rural population in Vietnam from 1960 to 2020. In general, urban population tends to increase while rural population gradually decreases.
In 1960, the majority of Vietnamese people lived in rural areas. However, from 1960 to 1980, the proportion of the rural population remained high. By 1990, this rate began to gradually decrease and continued to decrease until 2020.
In contrast, urban population increased continuously throughout this period. In 1960, the urban population rate was still very low. By 1980, this rate began to increase significantly. Since 1990, the pace of urbanization has become increasingly rapid, leading to a clear change in Vietnam's population structure.
The excessive use and disposal of single-use plastic products pose a significant threat to our environment. These items, such as plastic bags, bottles, and straws, often end up in landfills or waterways, where they take centuries to decompose. This leads to pollution, harming wildlife, and disrupting ecosystems.
To address this issue, several solutions can be implemented. Firstly, governments can introduce stricter regulations on plastic production and usage, including bans on single-use plastics and incentivizing recycling programs. Secondly, individuals can reduce their plastic consumption by opting for reusable alternatives, such as cloth bags, water bottles, and utensils. Additionally, communities can organize clean-up drives to remove plastic waste from local environments.
By taking collective action, we can significantly reduce plastic pollution and protect our planet for future generations. It is crucial to adopt sustainable practices and promote a circular economy, where plastic waste is minimized and recycled effectively.

Nowadays, the celebration of Western festivals like Christmas and Halloween has become increasingly popular among Vietnamese youth. While some may view this trend with concern, believing it could dilute Vietnamese cultural identity, I believe that embracing diverse cultural experiences can be beneficial.
Firstly, celebrating foreign festivals can broaden young people's horizons and foster a sense of global citizenship. It allows them to learn about different cultures, traditions, and values.
Secondly, these festivals often provide opportunities for fun, social interaction, and creating lasting memories.
Finally, by understanding and appreciating both Vietnamese and foreign cultures, we can enrich our lives and strengthen our cultural identity.
In conclusion, while it's important to preserve our own cultural heritage, embracing diverse cultural influences can be a positive experience. By striking a balance between tradition and modernity, we can create a vibrant and dynamic society.
