During the last summer vacation, my father let me go to Dalat for a week. It was a third reward for me because I worked hard to study and achieved the title of Excellent Student.
My father prepared very well for this trip. A few days ago, my father bought tickets at Lua Viet Tourist Center. On Friday morning, my mother went to the place where the car was parked and saw the father and son off on the road. The car was almost full of people, the driver pressed the horn to signal to tourists that it was time for the car to leave. At 5:30, the bus left the station.
The city in the early morning is so clear and cool. On the road, people and vehicles are sparse. Out of the city, the car turned to Highway I and began to accelerate. I sit next to the window so I can enjoy the scenery on both sides of the road. Soon, the car came to the fork to go to Da Lat. From here, Highway 20 bends and runs in the middle of an immense green of successive rubber forests.
The landscape is different from time to time. The car went uphill, downhill continuously. There are very high passes and tens of kilometers long. He drove calmly and skillfully drove through craggy, dangerous roads, high mountains on one side, deep abyss on the other. Passengers seemed very reassured, completely relying on his skilled steering wheel. Some people rest their heads on the armchairs to sleep soundly.
At three o'clock in the afternoon, the car arrived in Da Lat city, a famous tourist destination in the country. From afar, I saw the pine hills one after another. The driver stops for visitors to admire the beauty of Pren waterfall. Water poured down from above like a giant white curtain. The sound of the waterfall pours evenly, millions of millions of tiny iridescent water droplets.
The closer you get to the city, the more attractive the scenery becomes. OH! What a strange scene unfolded before our eyes, like in a fairy tale. In the middle of the pine forest, there are houses with pointed roofs and bright red tiles that look like mysterious castles. Half an hour later, the car parked in front of Anh Dao hotel. The hotel is small but beautiful and fully equipped.
The first meal, father and son enjoyed delicious highland dishes. That night, I pulled the quilt up to my neck and slept soundly. During these few days here, I was able to visit many beautiful scenes of Da Lat such as Xuan Huong Lake, Cam Ly Waterfall, Cu Hill, Pine Hill with Two Graves, Valley of Love, Da Thien Lake, Truc Lam Monastery...
Dad took a lot of pictures for me. My favorite is the riding style on the top of the hill, under the old pine tree. Arriving at the city park, she happily held the shoulder of a giant stuffed black bear near the gate for her father to take pictures. I am passionate about watching birds, watching animals, watching flowers, forgetting all the time.
Then my father took me to Da Lat market. I was amazed by the richness and beauty of cold flowers: velvet roses, yellow roses, gladiolus, dahlias, carnations, orchids, orchids, ... and many different types of chrysanthemums. Fruits are also very attractive: plums, peaches, strawberries, oranges, avocados, grapes, apples, etc. everything is delicious and cheap. My father bought me cans of strawberry jam and a bag full of ripe avocados. I'm sure mother and baby Hong really like it.
A week of sightseeing went by quickly. It's time to say goodbye to Da Lat and return to the family home. When the bus left the wharf, I stuck my head out the window and waved goodbye to the pine forests, mountains, roads, misty valleys, lovely roofs and colorful flower gardens... Goodbye, Da Lat !
If I have the opportunity to come back, I will discover more new things in Da Lat, I really like Dalat
