If I could travel where I want to go and have enough money, I'd like to go to Canada. But why? Continue reading.
In the summer last three years ago our family drove our car to Nha Rong Harbour for my history class. In-room 2 about President Ho Chi Minh from 1920 - 1930, I met a family that looked intently at a document. " Maybe they are foreigners, I thought. " Hi, maybe you need help with this document?" I asked. Their daughter nodded. Then, I explain all the things in the documents and images about President Ho Chi Minh. After finished, the parents praised me:
- Wow, where are you from, your English is pretty good! Now, thanks to her, Emily!
- Thank you for that! Ah, my name is Emily, what is your name?
- My name is Hao, but you can call me Ruby. And, where are you come from, Emily?
- I'm mixed Vietnamese and Canadian. My dad is Canadian, and my mom is Vietnamese. My mom takes me back to Vietnam every summer for about one month to visit my grandparents in the Thu Duc district.
- Oh, my house is near there. Can we go to Suoi Tien park every Saturday, Emily?
- Yes, of course.
After that, we met at Suoi Tien park every week. But one month is so short. Before Emily went back to Canada, she gave me a bracelet we made last week and a book about Canada. I opened the book and there is a piece of paper write:
"Dear Ruby!
This is my address: 19 Gerrard St East Toronto, ON M5B 1W7, Canada.
If you can't send a letter to me, you can use this is my email:
emilysmith_****@gmail.com."
Then, I went home, write her a letter, and gave it to the post office. After a few days, her reply letter was sent to me. We did it for two years. In this year - 2021 because the pandemic Covid-19 outbreak again and the virus is stronger than last time. So, we can't send the letter to each other anymore. We must stay at home and send the email. In the longest letter, Emily said the place she lives:
Hi Ruby,
Today, I will tell you about my country - Toronto, Canada.
Toronto in Canada is beautiful. There are two big skating rinks there. When you have time, I will lead you there to teach you how to skate. In Canada, we love bears. We have maple syrup very delicious and sweet, too! When you come here, I will show you my big shelf of books. Do you like reading books? Ah, and we can go to the High Park to go picnic, too. I'm thinking about that and very happy. I wish the pandemic gone so I will come back and take you to Canada with me.
Miss you
Emily

Now, the pandemic is so strong so we can meet others. But, in the future, when is out of pandemic, I can meet Emily again, and I can go to Canada - my dream holiday.
