I am very pleased and excited to hear that you want to know how people in my city are preparing for our traditional Tet holiday. So now I will tell you about that.
As you know, the Lunar New Year is also known as the traditional New Year and is the most important day of the year. Now that Tet is coming, everyone in my neighborhood is also planning the Tet holidays.
There are some common things that people do during this festival. Those who work and study in big cities all return home to celebrate Tet with their families and relatives. Tet is one of the occasions when families get together, so it is easy to understand why Vietnamese people look forward to this festival. My father bought apricot flowers to decorate. My mother prepared candies, wrapped Banh Chung. Another thing my parents often do is give the kids some "lucky money" in the hope that it will bring fortune to those kids. And I was also taken by my parents to new places and went: visit the temple, watch the fireworks ... etc.
The Lunar New Year is very important to me and all the people of Vietnam. This is because we have more time at work and study, and so we have more time to spend with our family and loved ones. What do you think about people in my city prepare for Tet holiday?
