Hi Zea,
Thank you for your last letter. Today I will give you some advices about what pets should keep and how to persuade your parents to let you have one.
Personally, I've been in the same situation as you. My mother used to not let me have a cat because there was no sandbox and it was quite unhygienic. So from my perspective, cats and dogs are not good choices, because some apartments ban them and veterinary care is overpriced. I think you can raise some ornamental fish like Koi, Neon Tetra, Betta... or any witty hamsters that you can save money to buy.
To convince your parents, tell them that pets are stick companions, reducing some stresses at school and they will likely have a lot of memories attached to you. Then just explain them that you can take care of them carefully with a high responsibility. Clean the sandbox, walk the dog, feed the hamster, change the water in the fish tank,... are things that you can feel really happy and jovial in spare time and, that helps you feel like you've grown up without nagging like before.
That's all for now. Remember to write me back and let me know if you convinced your parents and share your happy memories with your new pet with me.
Your best friend,
Charlotte
P.S. I've attached some photos about pets and ornamental fish. I hope you enjoy it!
